This is where I would love to go for authentic North Indian food at Manchester, such a lovely place to be. Good Food & nice ambiance. They're courteous to prepare dishes of my choice even though it was not available in the Menu.
Good service, really nice food that is well priced and good sized portions - was recommended by friends who eat here regularly and it didn't disappoint - just watch out for the obligatory adding of a service charge without mention! (even for 2 people!)
Indian food away from India! The food although is blended as per the British taste, but still it tastes much better than many of the Indian restaurants there! Must try is the Hyderabadi biriyani! Overall a must try restaurant!
If you are in Manchester and like Indian food then search no more just eat food here. Most Authentic Indian food place.
Centrally located, Nice and fancy place.
Butter chicken , biryani and Dal makhni is worth a try.
Place gets very crowded at dinner time so try and book a table.
The Manager and owner always make effort to engage and help you decide. Though service is slow.
Overall good experience. Would recommend this place.
Dined in this place while in Manchester. Tucked in some good food to satisfy my curry craving. Staff were polite and the food was served pretty quickly, served hot and fresh. Swadesh is in the center of the city close to China town. Not at all difficult to locate in Deansgate area.
The starters such as Aaloo Tikki had more salt and oil than required. The Subz Biriyani too was a little oily than expected. The taste of food was intact though.
The place gets crowded pretty fast. So its better to book a table beforehand. They have take-away option as well.
Nice place for having Indian food. Reasonably priced. Conveniently located. Worth a visit.
Check the price of still and sparkling water bottles though, before ordering! ;)

The food here is nice. I find Swadesh to have one of the best and most authentic Indian food in Manchester which is a bit rare to find. Their Dal Makhni is worth a try. But the only problem I faced there were not much staff, on two occasions it took us almost 15 mins to get hold of the menu and another 30 mins to place the food. And by any chance you to place an additional order that's next to impossible.
Not many people know it there is a 10% discount for students, you have to let them know.
The ambience is nice. Great Indian food. Do try there Dal makhani and Paneer.
Try getting there on time, the place is really crowded during dinner time.

Best Curry in Greater Manchester. What can I say. I love my curries but this stood out by a mile. We went for the pre theatre menu which was £8.95 each. The place is spotless ans the staff are fantastic and make the whole experience special. I had the Sheek Kebab for starter which was cooked to perfection followed by the Chicken Madras which was the best curry I've ever had. No grease, just perfection with the right heat. The manager and owner made an effort to engage with the diners and the whole experience was perfect.
Went just as it was about to close . They looked after us the food was really good. Watchout for the cheese'n chilli nan bread it's hot. Service was excelent . Drinks reasonably priced

...if you are in Manchester if you like authentic Indian cuisine, you cannot miss the SANGAM Restaurant.
The atmosphere is very pleasant, the place is very nice, attention to detail and the food is very good. Excellent service, drinks and desserts.
Really recommended.
I have been to this restaurant twice already. Everything I tried here tasted so nice. Definitely is the best Indian restaurant in Manchester I have ever tried. The curry dishes and street food are authentic (said by my Indian friends)! Staffs here extremely nice, especially the guy who called Shon. Will definitely come again!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
We are in England and we had to try chicken Tika masala. We came here after and we loved it. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Restaurant looks great.
Thank you for the marvellous service. My mother aInd me enjoyed a lot. The food was nice, and the king prawns are juicy and fresh. The butter chicken is creamy and delicious. Thank you all the staff for being nice and courteous, especially Shon, he is caring and friendly. We had a great experience here.
This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. We were served from a wonderful guy name Shon. Everything was perfect and on point. Would love to come again. Highly recommended!!
I recently had the opportunity to dine at Sangam Manchester, and I was very impressed. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with traditional Indian décor and soft lighting. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they took the time to explain the menu and answer any questions I had.
Food was absolutely amazing, Staff were so accommodating and made my husband and I feel extremely comfortable. Thank you to Parves who served us on the night. We will definitely be back as food was too delicious and cooked to perfection.
Absolutely great experience staff where brilliant going above and beyond to make sure everything was just right
Great food got to visit again 5 star plus!
What a fantastic place to dine out!
Upon arrival we could see it was extremely busy (I'd certainly recommend reserving a table in advance). The staff were still friendly and attentative however. It was clearly well organised and ran.
All the various food / courses we had were well presented, and of great taste and quality. We didn't have to wait that long either, considering how busy they were.
It became very apparent, very quickly why this place is so popular. When you combine the above with the modern look and feel of the venue, it makes for a great atmosphere.
Couple of (small) areas they could improve on: -
1) The sound system is poor when they try and increase the volume (to celebrate birthdays etc.)
2) Whilst appreciating how busy they were, I don't feel it's right to stand over you with the card machine, when they bring you the bill. It puts unnecessary pressure on you to just pay it straight away. We found errors on our bill too that needed to be corrected (and may people probably wouldn't have spotted them due to being "put on the spot" to pay.
They are only minor points in my opinion and didn't detract from the experience at all.
Would highly recommend.
