Wow. Really tasty food. Tapas style which I wasn't really expecting but plenty of food in a portion. The decor looks excellent although the swing seats are a little on the uncomfortable side after a while. Great place and we will definitely be going again.
While I appreciate absolutely stunning design and ambiance and extremely helpful staff , but food was average if not below. I assume i came with expectations of authentic Indian food which was there but in a fraction in terms of taste.
Portion looked small but filling. Nice curry chicken and naan. Some good cocktails as well.
Mowgli twist a bit sweet. Mango lassis really nice. Agry birds was delicious.
Butter chicken, the fish curry, lamb curry, all nice.
So filling every single one. Two girls: enough a street food, a curry, share a naan and some drinks.
Good, but expensive. Portions are small, so you can't just get a meat curry and rice and expect to be full. Always three choices. The food in the picture coat me £17. They include a pound for some kind of charity, which I did not like that they included it automatically without asking me. The place is nice inside though.
Really nice food and service. Managed to squeeze my party of 8 last minute on a Saturday evening. Portions look small at first in the tiffin boxes but they are actually quite big and filling. The atmosphere and decor is really nice and the lighting helps set the mood.
The service was fantastic, the staff is very friendly and they were very helpful in explaining the spice levels, ingredients of every dish and also elaborate on the process of how the dish is cooked. We ordered Yoghurt balls, Bhel Puri, Chickpeas curry (it's a bit spicy than other curries), prawn curry (is spicy too), paneer curry, Dal, Agra Chicken, rotis and mango lassi. Every dish was delicious, the rotis were medium thin and soft to eat. The paneer was soft and fresh. Agra Chicken curry was slightly spicy for my friends but they enjoyed the flavour. Mango lassi was thick, not too sweet and delicious too! Also, Mowgli has just reopened after Covid issues and are serving 50% off on meals till end of October from Mon-Thurs. 10/10 must visit for some fantastic Indian food!
Really nice food, but we were a big party and the service suffered a bit as a result.
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!
Very tasty food! Exceptionally good drinks! Excellent atmosphere! Lovely staff!
The only downside is that the service can be a bit slow sometimes so if you in a rush this place might not be for you.
However this said do not pass on this place as it is amazing! The food is just beyond. Their angry bird is to die for! Love this place 🔥
This restaurant is a little smaller to the one in the Corn Exchange but that doesn't detract from the super food they serve out.
Service is always excellent as they are extremely helpful when asking about dishes.
Love the Tiffin boxes but they are small portions so if hungry then order more.
I found the drinks slightly pricey considering its in the student area of Manchester
Food quality was very good, the staff friendly and the setting spot on. Be aware the portion sizes (including the Cobra bottles!) aren't as generous as in some restaurants; which has the advantage of leaving room for dessert :)
I had the office worker's tiffin, and the food was excellent. The chicken curry was one of the best I've ever eaten, and the rice, dahl and lamb curry dishes were all very good. The place was packed, and it took around 45 minutes for our food to come, but to be fair to the staff it was incredibly busy.
Great place. Enjoyed the Bhel Puri plus Angry Chicken dishes as starters. The red cabbage with the chicken was excellent....just wish it was warm alongside the warm chicken. But 8 out of 10 for starters. Keema as main course with rotis was 6 out of 10. Good but not excellent. Service was superb plus most helpful from multicultural servers, including from Chile & Cameroon. Decor and atmosphere including via music was very good. An amazing well lite place in the center of Manchester University's Campus!
Why not....surrounded by very large student population plus huge medical workers population at nearby Manchester Royal infirmary.
Fantastic, creative, tasty food. Tad pricey but you get what you pay for!
Wait staff were all lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
This is the second time iv been to mowglis. My first experience was at the corn exchange in Manchester city centre. The service was less than average but the food made up for that. We decided to change location and believe me, the service is incredible. Unlike the other mowglis restaurant, at manchester oxford street they went above and beyond. They didnt disturb us but made sure everything was perfect. The best service I have encountered for a while and I eat out most weekends. Thanks Cris and Mariam. Keep up the great work
