The beautiful smell of the food hits you as you walk through the door as if to promise you a fantastic meal and it didn't fail to deliver. To say it was the best carvery I have ever had is undisputed and my girlfriend is a fussy eater and nine times out of ten leaves some of the meal but she cleared the plate, as did my mum.
Me and my girlfriend have special needs and they catered the service in that respect. The supervisor Holly and their new recruit Reece provided an enjoyable experience for us all and the prices were very reasonable as the portions were very generous. My compliments must go to the chef as I don't normally eat new potatoes but they were delicious.

The pub was clean and spacious with great decor and an awesome large outdoor area. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Service was quick and efficient. Good portions of tasty food ..not exactly Michelin star style but great pub food. Will be back.
Great Roast
We had a family Sunday lunch here. Very good we were all very pleased. Tasty starters and yummy puds. Wine started at £13.75 a bottle and very good. Friendly staff. Lovely garden especially for kids.
My family and I went to the UK on vacation earlier in the year and we stopped by here on our way to catch the ferry over to Dublin and we loved it! The service was great and the food was amazing. I am not sure if this person was the owner or not but he was curious about our travels and welcomed us to the country with a pint of larger on draft. While our stay in the UK was not long, this was definitely the best service we had! Will go back when I return to the UK! 🫰🏻
Came for a meal with my mother and two boys. Both are fussy eaters and my youngest is autistic and they absolutely loved the food! Perfect little garden area my boys loves it and wants to go back for more food ha! Atmosphere was great and lovely service. Kelly was fantastic, very helpful and helped us choose from the menu with some great options. Will definitely be back soon.
There were eight of us and so not easy to work with I am sure. Your staff were very good though. We each ordered and asked if we could all get our food served at the same time. Well done it was perfect.
Ordering was a little slow, I had to give my order three times! ( Would be nicer if the lady could have come to the table but I understand that you require money up front)
The food was a hit with everyone although I am not sure that butterfly cauliflower was the correct description for my starter. Overall well-done team
What a great place. We called in on the off chance and was seated fairly quickly. I had the ultimate southern fried chicken burger which was beautiful. Lots of options for everyone. A wonderful experience and will definitely be going back.
The food was delicious, we ordered the tuna melt baguette, a spicy burger and a southern fried burger. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxing for a pub lunch. Kelly was really friendly at the bar and with our food order, checking all was ok and if we needed anything - thank you 😊
Fantastic place! Came in for a meal with family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Food was served lovely and hot, we were served quickly and the location is just stunning!

Hazel the barmaid recommended for us to come here for food and drink and it was really nice. The food was great with no complaints from any of the four of us who came here and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend the Dog and Partridge to others and will be coming back sometime soon.
There were 9 family members who booked a table to celebrate 3 birthdays. The food was fabulous 👌 all 9 of us throughly enjoyed our meals.

Such a friendly pub, had a lovely meal today, My hubby had the sunday lunch its the best, very reasonably priced. Dog friendly too which is always a bonus. I have nothing but praise for this pub. Staff are always so nice.
First time here, we arrived about 5:30pm for a meetup with friends, the table had been booked so we all sat around a nice large table, there were not many people in when we arrived, it is quite a large spaced out pub, so it felt a bit empty . We were greeted warmly by staff and ordered drinks, you can order food by an app or directly from the bar, which we did and paid upfront. The menu was good traditional pub food, nothing over fancy. We didn't have too long to wait and when it arrived it was good and hot. There was a large garden seating area at the back, and I would imagine it would be popular on warm days. The only problem I had was there is a raised seating area towards the back of the pub and if you are not careful you can miss the step as I did, but no damage done just a few drops of my drink. All in all a good place for a natter with friends and food
