We went for a carvery and were not disappointed. Huge portion of food, good choice of veggies and it was delicious. Dietary requirements of some of our party were catered to with no fuss. And the lady behind the bar was very friendly and helpful - thank you :)
Would recommend.
Barlow Croft is a well placed, large and open spaced pub owned by the Green King company.
Very modern decor and tastefully laid out.
Predominantly an eating style pub serving a wide variety of pub style meals with a wide choice on the menu.
They do have a pool table, Sports are also shown on TV.
Located near to TenPin, Ciniworld, Nandos, Wagmama, Fiveguys and the Wacky Warehouse it's an ideal meet-up place before moving on elsewhere.
Travelodge is next door which also make this venue a good position as this Travelodge does not have a bar or serve food.
I visited Sunday morning to try out the full English Breakfast which had been recommended to me a couple of nights earlier when I stopped off for a drink.
The venue is nice, clean and very open, seating inside is comfortable and if the weather is good seating outside is also an option.
Staff are well presented and smartly dressed and some will engage in conversation if you kick start it off.
As well as the menu items there are daily specials.
Parking is easy in a well lit carpark, disabled spaces are positioned right outside the entrance.
Toilets are clean and to an excellent standard. Baby changing and disabled toilets are easily accessible.
This is a nice venue, I would highly recommend it.
Food cooked to order and arrived hot, overall the breakfast was nothing special, eggs looked perfect but for me the yoke needs to be runny, hash browns were bland and the beans were a little on the dry side. Sausages were perfect and very tasty.
I'm not normally critical about an English Breakfast but to be honest after travelling around a lot I've had my fair share and think I'm in a good position to judge if this is good or not.
The 4 Starr rating is because I was over charged on this visit, no idea how this could happen as its all on the touch screen tills with the prices already inputted. Once this was pointed out the staff member refunded the difference with no issues.
If this review was informative enough for you give it a thumbs up or like to let other know about the place
Booked ahead as we were going Sunday and know pub lunches are normally busier on Sundays. Welcomed by friendly staff, quick service on the bar, and great food choices! Large carvery plate is HUGE, so much food for just over a tenner! Will be back for carvery again!
Great place, great food, great staff.
Went in on a Saturday afternoon, place was pretty full, good atmosphere and the staff pretty much run off their feet. Still a good service and the carvery food was excellent with very generous portions.
I would deffinately recommend this place and will certainly be going back.
A very pleasent family meal out with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Menu seems to have been shrunk. Had a meal here on 21st December, but unfortunately the grill was not working so no burgers, steak, chicken etc, so it minimised choices quite a bit. Carvery was "spot on" as usual with choice of 3 meats, lots of different veg, and the carvery is self service which I think is great.
I ordered an all day breakfast yesterday. I got my food after about 5 minutes. Everything was super tasty especially well done bacon and runny eggs. Exactly how I like it. I was passing through but would love to come back
Always a lovely experience when I visit here. I’ve been with family, my fella and as a group of friends. Always accommodating us even when we don’t book. Food spot on & there’s also a massive wacky warehouse.
Visited here on a one night stay nearby and got to say the Carvery was fantastic. Huge portions, great quality meat, very good meal had here. Would come here again for sure
Nice friendly staff some more than others. Quick service mostly, at the bar. carvery can be hit and miss, we don't attend carvery after 3pm because I don't think it looks too nice. Theyve bin known to run out of Yorkshire not advise you at the bar, allownyou to pay for e extra but you have to wait untill more are cooked you find this out after the meat is on the plate which is no help. Also when calling your told no tables but then when people go an walk in supposed to booking they get a tabel? I find this abit unfair but maybe there's a method to there madness. overall good place to eat attend around once a month maybe more sometimes
We came had a beautiful roast dinner ordered drinks at the bar a young lady named dae very excellent customer service had a lovely smile.. General all staff are polite always ask how you are is food good lovely place to visit ❣️❣️
