Cord Bar

Off the beaten track, away from the usual Northern Quarter revellers, hidden in a corner, lies this unassuming bar. It's a great destination to unwind and catch up with friends. Whether you're grooving to the ol' skool, soul and funk remix scratched together by live DJs, or indulging in a Cord special cocktail, you'll find yourself lost in the chilled out atmosphere and soon your life worries will be but a distant blur. I had the Dirty Boulevard (strong!!) and a friend had the Bad Apple (it really does taste like apple crumble!) cocktail and if given an earlier start (it was a Friday), I'd love to make my way down the cocktail list! For me, it was a good way to end a stressful work week and a nice opener for the weekend.

Happy hour in Cord is almost certainly my happiest hour of the day. Their Bad Apple cocktail is delicious and tastes just like apple crumble! Affordable but tasty cocktails with friendly approachable staff and a great atmosphere. Can get a little busy at the weekends so be prepared. Week nights are nice and comfortable. Very chic ladies rooms for a busy cocktail bar too!
