My favourite place for Sichuan food in Manchester. The food reminds me of home and the owners are very friendly. Price is very cheap too for students. ^^

Delicious food and very kind and helpful staff. Traditional Szechuan food, but also available some less spicy options for kids (a 4 year old loved the dumplings and rice). Prices are good and plates are big. Will most probably return.
I’ve tired countless Chinese restaurants in this country with the single aim to find authentic Chinese food. Yesterday was the day I finally found a place - Red N Hot in Chinatown Manchester - that would fulfil this single criterium. On top of the great food, the staff is attentive and friendly, too. Surprisingly, the prices are really reasonable - much cheaper than some other Chinese food I’ve had which wasn’t nearly as good.
Red Hot is probably the best restaurant in Chinatown Manchester. This is a bold statement, but one I am willing to make.
To start with, the customer service is brilliant. The manager is honest, fast and understanding.
After that, the food is great. You will not regret going here. Don't believe any reviews post-6months ago. The new managment will blow your mind.
We came here without any expectations of the place and despite the poor looking front (the menu at the entrance could do with some cleaning!!), the restaurant that was up the stairs was clean and looked like it's been done up recently. Szechuan cuisine is notoriously spicy and oily, with a wide selection of ingredients (tripe, duck's tongue, frog's legs, chicken liver, pigs trotters etc). True to form, you can find all of that here. The ala carte menu was certainly varied and plenty of options to choose from. We ordered 5 dishes to share amongst four and crikey, each dish was huge!! Service was reasonably quick and staff was generally polite and friendly. My friends are definitely keen to come back because the dishes were definitely not your usual Chinese fare.
Great Food for Hotpot, good services howerver doesnt include the drinks whoch is quite expensive for the price. The restaurant has a a good interior and good for having a dinner with family or friends. There are 30-40 choices of meat and Vegetables you can choose for the Hotpot and Its All You Can Eat, eat as much as you can..
One of the best in Manchester. Yes, the service can be iffy depending on the people there but, look, you can't fault the food. The owners work hard to make it authentic so give the crappy buffets a miss get the real deal here. If the young staff are lost on their phones, chase them up.
Great Szechuanese restaurant that's one of my favourites in Manchester. Get the belly pork starter, it's amazing. The cumin lamb and Mao's red pork are great as well.
Brilliant meal! There was nine of us eating, the service was good and the food was excellent. Will definitely return if I'm in Manchester again.
Our dinner was tasty and really spicy. Authentic cooking style.
Always great Chinese food there. Much better than your standard takeaway
