Basic cafe but excellent value, good service, clean & fast
Was in Manchester on a Sunday and didn’t realise that the shops didn’t open till 11 so we decided to go to Essy’s for some breakfast and a coffee to kill time. We hadn’t expected too much as we chose Essy’s as it was close to the car park we had parked in and it was raining however…
The breakfast and coffees were absolutely amazing! One of the best fry ups I have had in a while and my mocha tasted great - the hash-browns were to die for!
The breakfast wasn’t the cheapest being £17 for the fry up and coffee however it was the centre of Manchester and the food was amazing so I think the price was fair and if were to return to Manchester would mean also returning to Essy’s
First time here at the newly opened restaurant and we’re so glad we tried it out.
Manager very friendly and welcoming. Recommend the Lamb pitta and it was very tasty. My husband even ordered one to eat at home. Very well cooked and delicious, will definitely be returning
Perfect little cafe and well cooked food. First time visiting and very impressed with the speed and service of the food. Ordered the full halal breakfast and french toast. Absolutely perfect thankyou.
After our long urban Walk (13km) arrived at Essy's (last minute option as Dishoom wouldn't seat us for breakfast at 11.35, although website clearly states 11.45 to be fair they were nice about it).
Back to Essy's, really nice atmosphere, we ordered the the halal full breakfast balm and Essy's Royale with Karack chai.
Really pleased with food presentation of the Essy's Royale, and breakfast balm. Both Royale and Balm had plenty of flavour, the halal sausages were nice and spicy in the balm. The hollandaise sauce was nice consistency (not watery)
The atmosphere quickly ramped up with lunch time customers. Creating a nice hustle and bustle.
The service was really quick, both plates arrives the same time with our chai. The health and hygiene was excellent.
Would definitely return here and recommend the breakfast.
Wanted to try something new for a change so I opted for a Sunday roast. Having come across Essy on social media, I felt it best to visit and try it out for myself.
The Sunday roast chicken was very nice and didn’t disappoint whatsoever. The chicken panini was good and the French toast I felt could’ve been a lot better (tasted quite eggy and could’ve used proper brioche roll).
On a overall, the food and service was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great little spot. We went for lunch and the food was fantastic.
Was recommended this place by many people.
We chose the Lamb Roast and the Beef Roast. (Fully Halal)
I would definitely recommend the Lamb Roast! The Lamb was very tender and flavourful.
With the Beef Roast however, the Beef slices didn’t seem fresh and were somewhat dry. There was also a lot less Beef compared to the Lamb Roast.
Overall, the customer service was good and the pricing was decent.
Had Sunday roast beef dinner delivered today. Was fantastic. Great food and great service. In my opinion, the best Sunday dinner in Manchester. 5☆
The perfect place to grab lunch! They’re dog friendly & even popped over with a couple sausages for my pups which was lovely. Our food was beautiful and perfectly priced with great portion sizes!
It was our last day in Manchester before we headed for London and we decided to get some breakfast. Randomly found this gem of a place! Breakfast not only looked absolutely amazing but tasted even better. Presentation and taste everything was spot on. Lovely customer service too. We also ordered banana bread for dessert and that was also lovely! Everything was really good, we thoroughly enjoyed this place. I hope it opens up in London 👀 They we’re halal which was great.
Visited @essys 📍 31-33 King St W, Manchester M3 2PW .. I’ve eaten in branch and also got delivery, both time foods has been amazing.
Ordered: ‘Fully Loaded Halal Breakfast Wrap’ which is 2 Turkey bacon rashers, 2 Halal sausages, fried egg, hash brown all wrapped up with a sprinkle of cheese and toasted to perfection. Served with a side of skin on fries, if your after a fulling breakfast and something different to a full English..this is a shout 👊🏽 10/10 (£10:95).. I’ve also had the ‘Grilled Chicken Panini’ which is Cajun chicken smothered in grill cheese (£7.25).
This place is defo a shout for a halal breakfast/brunch .. based in Northern Quarter..
Came in and was welcomed with a smile by very friendly staff members. Food service was amazing I had the roast dinner and tastes amazing. Great quality for the price would definitely recommend for anyone going.
It was just a wrap! OMG It was so much more than just a wrap! "Falafel & Halloumi grilled wrap please" - it was truly the fullest & tastiest wrap I've ever had. I totally annoyed my family by saying so after every bite! The staff were incredible, the place was clean & full of warmth & character - I will not forget you Essys.
Visited twice now and we will continue to come as the all day halal breakfast wrap is amazing!! The waiting time was not bad as it was busy. The staff are nice and friendly and it is the the city centre which makes it a incredible experience !
