Visited the place on a cosy late autumn evening, was surprised about the size and the selection of brews! Great staff and vibe, cosy atmosphere, definitely recommend for an evening bev !! I heard they also have a lovely beer garden (not at this time of the year tho hahah, it's closed)👀 …
Lovely cosy pub, but didn’t rate the food sadly. My pie and mushy peas were both dried out and the meat was tough. My sons burger was also very dry and looked a bit sad. Perfect for a drink though, and lovely old building.
Three of us had Christmas Day lunch here. We were very, very pleased with the meal, drinks and first class service from all the staff. It is a joy to visit this pub any day. Always made to feel welcome. Thanks to all. See you again soon.
