Longhorn Steakhouse

We called around 2:30 to tell the staff we would be there at 3:00. We got there and the hostess said she just received the call? We didn't understand that at all because we talked to an actual person. We were told to wait in the car until we received a text message. We sat there for a very long time, many many people were leaving so my daughter and I went back inside and were told our table was ready and they just sent the text. We never got a text. BTW. The food was really good and arrived in a timely manner. The waitress was great. I would have given 5 stars if we didn't have to wait so long in the car. Maybe they should start doing reservations so there is not such a long wait in the car and ask people to be there 15 minutes early, like an appointment.

I've enjoyed this restaurant many times for a few years now. I've eaten here in Connecticut and had a great experience. I've dined in Florida at this same restaurant and still received the exact same experience as I have in Connecticut. A great steak dinner along with wonderful service each time in each state. The longhorns associates take pride in their jobs and all my meals have been consistent everytime. I always have the outlaw steak medium rare and it comes out perfect. Great job guys/gals.

Decided to stop in for a bite to eat a few days ago. We checked online, hours of operation show till 10 PM. When we arrive, a sign posted on the door said 9 PM. It was just 8 PM when we walked in the door, and we were seated without issue. However, it seems our dinner was prepared in a rushed manner because the kitchen staff wanted to leave. I ordered the Flos Filet, and ordered it cooked medium. When it came to the table, it was so undercooked it was Rare, almost raw on the underside. I was extremely unhappy, as that filet certainly isn’t the cheapest menu option. But since the vibe in the restaurant was “We don’t want to be bothered we’re looking to close” I didn’t say anything at the time, just asked for a box so I could take the steak home and cook it more. If the restaurant didn’t want to seat us at 8, their hours should be 8, and they shouldn’t have seated us. However, we were seated as paying customers, but seemingly got lackluster service from the kitchen staff due to the time of evening. Longhorn is a steakhouse, and the fact that my steak wasn’t even anywhere close to cooked the way I ordered is a little telling. Needless to say it was our first and last experience at this restaurant. We won’t be back.
