Uncle John's Place

We are from out of town and decided to check this place out since it was one of the top rated restaurants in the area. I read on another review about staff not being friendly or "bubbly" and I could agree slightly but that doesn't mean they were rude or poor servers. We came as a party of 6 and they got us a table ready right away and it wasn't that bad of a wait for our food to come out. All our food came out together and it was all hot and fresh and that's not even bragging about the food quality. The handcut fries are amazing all on their own and worth going just for that. We all got something different and we all loved the food. Only bad thing is they ran out of cornbeef so I had to get turkey on my Ruben burger but it was actually really good. Will definitely go back if I am in town.

I really want to love this place but I only like it. The food is consistent but nothing wows me My problem is with the menu. I know the owners have a more creative side to their food and wish they would list some additional selections on the menu that you can't get in the area. It's always busy so the service can sometimes be slow but they are always friendly and want to take care of you. I keep going back because Nick and his family are great people and want to keep everyone happy.

We decided to try this place based on the Google reviews and we were not disappointed. We Both ordered burgers and they were excellent. My husband ordered medium well and I ordered well and they were cooked to perfection. It's a very small restaurant so probably not a good idea to go on a weekend evening. Our waitress was Rebecca and she was excellent also. It is a 40 minute drive for us and we will definitely go back. Try out the bakery Bake my day when you're in town that's what we go for.
