Howes Creek Farm

We attended a bacon making class here and the farmer with incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. I would highly recommend a trip to this farm for any future classes that held here or even just to know where your food comes from. There's a small shop where they sell pies and pork products that are made on site. They are delicious, if you are local to the area or traveling through I would highly recommend stopping off here to try it! What a fantastic place, great food, couldn't get nicer, more down to earth people who really know what there doing with food from the paddock to the plate. Excellent beer and wine list. Superb setting under a 100 year old oak tree and very realistic pricing. We will be returning often to experience this wonderful farm gate again.

Dropped by Howes Creek Farm with my wife and friends for a late lunch. Jackie and Matt were awesome hosts, they made sure we were comfortable and settled. We had a tour of the backyard and the baby pigs less than a week old. The ambience was great, the food was unbelievably good (best Green Thai Curry ever). For those interested, Matt will explain to you how the meat is done, it was great knowing what makes the meat taste so good. We were up in the snow the day before and this was a nice and relaxing way to close off the weekend trip.
