First time here today with the children
the pub looked friendly and very well presented and clean , the bar staff was friendly and tendered to our every need servers name was Lauren.
the food was well presented and hot!!
The hand battered fish was lovely
my youngest enjoyed her chicken Nuggets and chips
my eldest had Southern fried hunters chicken which was really nice
will 100% be visiting again

The cockle offers gluten free menu,and they are really helpful in putting meals together. Yes chips are on the menu the attention to detail is excellent Celiac people like myself it's a great pub menu. Fabulous landlord and landlady ⭐

Called in here today having walked up and down dale from Motorhome Depot, whilst our PVC was being repaired. The walk was worth it.
Lovely lady behind bar, Phoebe, gave our two dogs a drink as soon as we walked in. Unfortunately, didn’t have any fish for the “fish and chips” so only 4⭐️s. Prices really good in here compared to Lincoln. Pub was not busy at 1.30pm but noticed that Phoebe busied herself cleaning in the bar area. Hope her boss appreciates her.
UPDATE: owner replied as soon as I posted my review. When we pulled up pub on Google, there was a video of a couple dancing to Northern Soul. We love Northern Soul and, if you let us know when your next event is and we can park our small motorhome in your car park for the night, we will ensure we get as many people as we can to attend🤗

Amazing food. The menu ante massive so everything is cooked perfectly.
Had a rump steak cooked blue!!! Really impressed with it, little fat and gristle on it. Hat off to the chef!!!
Can't wait to try the slow roasted beef and fresh vegetables on there Sunday dinner's!!! 😋
