Gemma made me a surprise birthday cake. Not only was the final creation ( Harry Potter themed extravaganza including snitch and wand) a wondrous sight and drew many huge gasps of amazement , the actual cake was superb. Tasty , moist, even bake, cut well and lasted three days. Perfect. Would highly recommend.

Catered for gluten free, all fresh ingredients and probably the best ploughman lunch I have eaten for sometime. Also my wife's gluten free sandwiches was a high standard with salad, crisps and a large amount of ham. Great service and will definitely be back when walking in the area again.

Gemma made a fantastic 18th birthday cake for my son. She was doing a celebration of life when I went to fetch it. She made time for me even though she was extremely busy. The food she had prepared looked amazing

My daughter had her wedding reception at the tea rooms. On the run up to the big day Gemma went over and above to accommodate us, she was unbelievably helpful. We had afternoon tea for 50. The weather held so we were able to use the secret garden. It was just magical, the food (freshly made on-site) was gorgeous and plentiful, all served on china plates. There was salad, crisps, 4 types of sandwiches, jam and cream scones, chocolate mousse with strawberries decorated with a chocolate heart, fairy cakes and cream slices. Gemma also provided the wedding cake and cupcakes, plus Buck’s Fizz on arrival. Tea and coffee in big china tea/coffee pots. The garden was decorated beautifully, we had organised a singer for evening entertainment and we had a light evening buffet with chips…..not that any of us could mange much after such an amazing tea. Service was brilliant, friendly, helpful, speedy and unobtrusive. Really nothing was too much trouble, they even humoured my 8 year old grandson who was set on collecting the little jars of jam. It was a fantastic day, and prices were very reasonable……I cannot praise Gemma and her staff highly enough

Beautiful place. We had the afternoon tea which was excellent. When we walked in our pre-booked table had a plaque on so there was no waiting to be seated. Service was perfect nothing was a problem for them to do. Lots of other options from their menu and we saw food brought to others which all looked and smelt amazing. Will definitely be going back.

One of my favourite things to do, an afternoon tea, so after finding this venue & reading high quality of reviews, I decided to book an afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday on Saturday 23rd September, for myself & some good friends. What a great little find, lovely food, lovely service & will definitely book again xx

What an exceptionally lovely tea room. This place is very clean, tidy and well laid out, with outside seating. Parking is easy. The food is really nice with a good selection. Lovely people who support local and good causes. A special mention for the toilets which are well kept and sparkling. The taps are very unusual and worth visiting just to see them.

Served by lovely bubbly lady, the lunch food was quite nice. The cakes very nice. Perhaps a little expensive? Dog friendly in lower level and outside. Doesn’t open before 11am.

1st time here and will definitely be going again. The cake is absolutely gorgeous and a very generous piece too and great coffee and talking to a couple of ladies nearby this was also their first time and had the panini with side salad and said how lovely it was, looking forward to booking an afternoon tea here soon.

Absolutley love it here, great atmosphere even with covid times and a good choice of food and drink. Cakes are amazing (as well as the paninis and quiches) and they have their own little gin bar! Outside seating near the stream to watch the ducks and beautifully decorated inside. Visitors new and old are sure of a warm welcome. Discovered this gem of a place a year ago- reccomend to all!
