We came yesterday for a early dinner with kids. The food was amazing and a reasonable price.
The guy who was front of house was excellent his customer service was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. No sooner had we got back to the car the kids were asking when we can go again for dinner 😊

This quaint little town centre pub is excellent the greeting was very nice when we asked if it was dog friendly. The food was great we had Cod chips and peas and the Cod platter , fish was massive and cooked superbly. Decaf Lattes very good all in all an very good place serving great food at a reasonable price. Definitely Dog friendly see the picture.

Popped in for a weekday lunch and a pint. No problem getting a table. Staff super helpful, clean loos. Food was great and well priced. The beer was well served too. would recommend.

Came here few times whilst working away from home and this has been the most consistent place I have visited. Great staff, great local feel, the food cannot be faulted. Have tried California reeper chilli wings that were a test of humanity for the rest of the evening but really enjoyed. The special wrap is something special that I have had a good few times. Chips are great and the people I saw were welcoming .

Reception was a bit difficult to find myself, but staff has been extremely helpful during my stay. Check-in was smooth, and room was a very nicely sized area, which also appeared very clean. Received a message from the hotel that the music in the bar could lead to noise until 2am, however this was very well covered. Couldn't hear the music from the room. Breakfast was good as well, freshly prepared for me on the spot. Would definitely recommend to others when staying in or near March. Thank you for your hospitality!

Just come back from 2 nights visiting friends. Great dog friendly room. Everything was clean. Staff were very friendly. Most importantly, food and beer was excellent.

Went for dinner. Food was great, had the mixed grill with extra chicken wings, everything was cooked perfectly. Plenty of room for dinning aswell as people there watching football on a friday night. Will defiantly be going back

Friendly and historic large pub/hotel, very popular with the locals. Very clean room with everything thing you need.. Good base for short visit to the area. We were warned about a noisy bank holiday night... And it certainly was. We were supplied with ear plugs.. Thoughfull. Food was good... Much better than more expensive establishments we have visited.

The Griffin is always fantastic. The staff are all cheerful and helpful, the food is always good at a very good price, especially if you go for their daily offers. You can reserve seating beforehand if you need to as well.
The place itself is a lovely place to be for a nice evening meal and a chat with friends/family or just as a couple.
Worth baring in mind its a pub too, and some nights (like last night) it can get a bit noisy with 3 football matches on 3 different TV's.

Just called in for a drink but decided to eat as well, the food was lovely, I had lasagne and salad, very tasty and generous portion, the other half had the whale platter and struggled to finish it, nice atmosphere, busy but we didn't feel overwhelmed, would definitely eat there again.

Great staff, especially the girl at breakfast, also comfy room. But the noise levels are horrendous there is an outside area were screaming and shouting was happening until 2-3 in the morning on both Friday and Saturday night. The manager needs to have a solid policy on whether the pub/bar itself is dog friendly as well. Wouldn't stay there again because of the noise and made to feel a bit unwelcome in the bar with the dog

Food was acceptable and portions ok. Big downside was allergy information. Two of party had allergies and although staff member who served us was excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful as was the chef, the information available was hazy. No definitive allergy information for us to look at and choose from. Information on till order system was in places incorrect and contradictory. Please try harder, we don't choose to have allergies or intolerances but we did choose to eat at the Griffin. Something I won't do again unless your menu selection option improves for people with allergies and intolerances.

I'm from up north visiting friends who live nearby this pub. My second time visiting and was not disappointed!!! We got the 5 pick mix dishes for 10.99! Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend this to anyone, so much variety

Had a jacket potato cheese and beans. Was very was, hardly any beans ask for lots of onions only got 6 rings! Friend had cheese and leek open pie was very nice but small potion size again. Had battered king prawns for starter, prawns were not whole prawns they where like a patty- not great and no sweet chilli dip! Gotta say overall I think we should have gone spoons as there food is a better size and better quality prawn! Was ask how is the food. I did say it's ok not great but the staff member just turned and walked away!
