Visited of a weekend for lunch and loved it from start to finish! Great food, cheerful staff, and a nice atmosphere that isn't ruined by overly loud music. Booking is recommended for weekends as they got very busy around lunchtime. I wish they would offer the luxury afternoon tea without the alcohol but that's a minor issue that shouldn't affect the rating!

Absolutely amazing food. First time and we loved the food. Will be trying out more because the chef preparing these meals were incredible. Definitely recommend. Chicken, avocado salad went down such a treat. Beautiful salad. 🙌🎉

Second time of ordering lunch from here - this time for a birthday lunch for my fella, last time I had a salad which was beautiful - this time I have the Chicken BLT sandwich with honey and mustard dressing on the side salad. Beautiful sandwich!! Promptly delivered! Will definitely recommend. Keep up the good work.

This afternoon my daughter, friend and myself went for afternoon tea and we were not disappointed. My friend chose a prawn salad that looked appetising and very fresh. My daughter a vegan had a superb selection for her afternoon tea, I had a regular afternoon tea that did not disappoint. Sandwiches were so fresh and so tasty. Whilst waiting for our food we asked for gin and tonics with ice, lemon, cucumber and mint and our waitress was lovely. very much looking forward to my next visit to try something else on the menu as it all looked tasty.

Went here for tapas on a Saturday evening.
We're both veggie so only ordered from the veggie stuff. Everything we had was delicious! We shared five tapas dishes between the two of us, and had dessert. Price was reasonable and dishes were well though out and varied. The service was great. We'll definitely be visiting again!
We didn't book and walked in fine - there was plenty of space, though I'm aware they'd had a group cancellation that evening so I'd probably still advise booking if you can.

A great place for a good quality meal and I wish to personally thank the staff for their very kind gesture after eating there on the 11th Nov after the town act of Remembrance thank you

Most impressed. We almost walk pass this great resteraunt because of entrance steps until I asked, about wheelchair access. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Consequently, we enjoyed a fantastic meal. Thank you!!

Lovely decor, very spacious inside (ground floor), hand sanitizer offered on entry, staff all wore masks. Tapas food was devine & amazing cocktails!!!
Would recommend - I cant wait to go back again!, only slight negative was the prices (but to be fair cocktails are expensive in most bars / restaurants)

A great place for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The staff are friendly and attentive. We had our wedding lunch at the bistro recently and nothing was too much trouble, especially as the guests included two vegans and two young lads who are sometimes hard to please.

I have only had tea and cake here but both times it was delicious. The ladies working here are very helpful and friendly in trying to accommodate food intolerances. Both times visiting here they have helped me in with the buggy which was most appreciated as there are steps to the entry. They have an extensive range of good quality teas.

Often come here, always feel welcome. Tried a variety of menus. Always excellent.

Ideal for a hot drink and dessert. The strawberry cheesecake was delicious. Seating is not as comfortable as other places but you do get a nice view of the town centre.

Excellent tapas and wine! Great ambiance in the evening. It's great that a place has a considered menu rather than being the jack off all trades.

A great Father’s Day menu was in place, the Meatball starter was fanstastic and the Gourmet Burger as a main was Great sides of onion rings, hand made chips and the egg and bacon on top made it all the more tasty. Nice Eton Mess dessert too made it a great meal for a special occasion.

Had a surprise Hen night at the bistro, they couldn't have been accommodating. The waiting staff were amazing I truly cannot fault them. The food was good and I can highly recommend the mojitos!!!! Will definitely return

After spending a lovely afternoon at the bistro, we will definitely be back. Nicky and the staff were friendly and attentive and the food and cocktails were delicious.
The bistro has a lovely atmosphere and this is why afternoon tea turned into leaving 5 hours later !!! Just what March needs - a relaxing place to have a drink or 2 :)

I had never been here previously since it reopened under it's present ownership.
As I had a friend up from London for the weekend I wanted to dine somewhere decent without needing to drive out of town. One has so much choice for good dining in London which I have experienced many times. The exchange tea parlour and bistro seemed to tick the box as well as that of hopefully providing good food for my guest.
It was in fact a Spanish theme night last Thursday and we arrived to find only 6 others present so we were somewhat sceptical.
Anyway we bit the bullet so to speak ordering from the Spanish theme menu and ordered a bottle of wine which I considered to be good quality and value.
We had 4-6 plates and then as we were particularly hungry and enjoying the experience ordered 4 more.
At the end of the evening we considered we had good food, good service, good value and overall a very pleasant evening.
We would certainly recommend it, particularly as we never felt hurried and enjoyed what we had.

Great food. Can recommend the Tapas and the wine. On previous visits I have had the afternoon every time I have been impressed with the friendly service and staff. Will defiantly be visiting again to try the cocktails and restaurant menu. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Always an exceptional experience at this unique venue. The meals are always top class and full of flavour, the staff attentive and friendly and the range of food and drink excellent quality.

We went to The Exchange on Saturday evening with friends for dinner. The food was superb. Prawns and Smoked Salmon starter, Fillet Steak main, Creme Brulee dessert, and cheese. The steak was cooked to perfection. The menu list was relatively small but it still managed to cover all options to suit all tastes. The Staff are very pleasant and obliging. There is a very relaxed feel about the place. We will definitely return and recommend to others.

Went here on Saturday lunch time with my mum who's coeliac like me and hubby who isn't. We all had lovely meals upstairs overlooking the market square, they seem to have a lot if gluten free choices and can adapt "normal" meals to suit too. Can't wait to go back and try a gluten free afternoon tea.
