Went in on a hot day, two weekends ago, and asked if we could sit outside as we have 3 dogs. The chef took a table outside and the waitress and chef were just so helpful. Food was excellent. Best omelette I have ever tasted anywher in the world! Gammon/Ham my mum had top quality, melted in mouth.
We walk in Gosford Park, and hadnt known about this place. Went again yesterday for puddings - homemade, beautiful.
I would recommend anyone to come here and eat. Great value for money, clean, food yummy and staff attitude absolute pleasure.... This is now going to be a regular place for us to have a wee treat lunch, afternoon tea etc. Such brilliant service!!!!!

Just stopped off for something to eat. We were felt very welcomed by a lovely young fella who made such effort as we had 4 kids with us. He put two tables together and even went and got coloring pages for the kids. when all food was ate he came down and got orders for deserts he made every effort with the kids and adults again to get the right one for us. It was that nice there was 2md deserts for some ... This restaurant is a place u seek but don’t often find.. if I could give more than 5* I would. I will defo be back again.. can’t wait to tell my clients where they can visit and be assured with great results xx great food and great service
Following my son's baptism we attended The Courtooms for a meal which was held in the private function room upstairs. This was an ideal location for such an event. We had the 3 course Sunday carvery and found the food to be excellent. We were delighted with the service especially given that we were such a large group. Many thanks again to the staff for making our day run so smoothly!
Lovely place, very friendly helpful staff and its the first time a restaurant in Ni has been able to provide a gluten free bap with my burger. Very impressed and will defo go back.
Was out yesterday 8th july with my wife and my mother. i just happed to take a detour through markethill. Spotted the courtrooms restaurant. We were feeling hungry so stopped and went in . Place was really cozy inside and a really lovely member of staff brought us the menus and took our drinks order. My mum ordered the gammon with pineapple and chips which she absolutely enjoyed. My wife had the open prawn salad which was a excellent portion she loved it said it was so fresh and tasty. I myself took the home made chicken gougons with sweet chilli sauce and chips. I really enjoyed them. We then orderd a desserts which was 1 pavlova and 2 lemon mirgines. Well i was blown away when these arrived they were fantastic home made no frozen crap. These desserts worthy in my opinion of a michelin star reztaurant. We were so glad we stopped here the food is fantastic the staff were fantastic . I live in newtownabbey and i will defo be going back prob again during the week. Give this place a try if your passing by you wont be dissapointed. Best of all our bill for 3 mains 3 desserts and drinks was £41. Super value esp for the quality of the food. Its a wee diamond.
Courtrooms do an amazing breakfast, large or small fry. You can have your eggs poached fried or scrambled, great value for money and staff very friendly and helpful, highly recommended, first class.
I won Afternoon Tea in this lovely restaurant. It was absolutely gorgeous...such friendly staff, couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely be back.
I won Afternoon Tea in the Courtrooms Restaurant. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the setting was relaxing, inviting and spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend this place and will be back.
Thank you all very much for a lovely afternoon.
Love this place friendly staff and lovely food. As a slimming world follower I am always able to get something to suit me here
We were camping at Gosford and spotted this place for Sunday carvery. Friendly staff, great service and food was fantastic. Even had mini versions of main desserts for kids rather than just ice cream etc. Will definitely be back.
Held a surprise 30th party here lately. Excellent, friendly staff. Great food and great service. Thanks to Angela and the girls.
If you want delicious home cooked food this is the place for you!! Friendly staff and warm cosy setting...also gorgeous for Sunday carvery
Very friendly staff, excellent service. Good variety of tasty food. We had a lovely lunch. We will be back 😊😊
We found this wee place by chance and what a find. An awesome gem. Food absolutely 💯 😋 gorgeous 😍 will definitely 👍 be back. The service and staff were exceptional and they couldn't have been more welcoming 😀 So many choices on the menu spoilt for choice.
Every time I've went it's been quiet enough. Few tables filled but never have to wait to get a seat. Quick service. Food is good.
Lovely quaint country feel to the restaurant. A very good mixed menu with loads on it. I had prawn open sandwich with a portion of chips, all delicious . The open prawn was really a big portion so I didn't really need the chips ( ate them anyway) my husband had chicken goujons and chips and said beautiful. We both had lovely Apple tart one with fresh cream and the other with ice cream. Gorgeous. Lovely friendly staff. Definitely be back.
Had a good experience, a good Ulster Fry, a nice wee tray bake and tea, and some friendly service, would return in a heartbeat and recommend to family and friends.
Food is hearty and fresh. Have been a few times and was not disappointed each time. The desserts, scones, traybakes and selection of pies to take home is fabulous.
Great wee place with local artists works decorating the walls. Love seeing local talent being spotlighted.
My mum particularly loved the lemon meringue and I enjoyed the fresh apple tart with cream.
Parking can be a bit unaccessible for anyone with a disability or with a pram as it's on a hill but not too bad if you have support.
Lovely wee spot to visit for lunch and a good selection of food on offer.
The staff were fantastic, very attentive and really friendly. It was a very busy Saturday (the day before mothers Day). We were asked to wait a few minutes on a table (perfectly acceptable, there were 6 of us) the staff were very nice about it, very apologetic. The food was okay, although the portion size for the sides was very small (my side came in a very small glass) and the kids' portions were so small they were not suitable for a 9 year old. I ended up giving my side of chips to the 9 year old to ensure she got enough.
We had a group of residents here, whose every need was tailored too, food was excellent service so friendly and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended by bawn cottage residents and staff 😍👏
Stopped in this restaurant on the way home from a walk in Gosford. Had never had food here before and was not disappointed. Friendly service, great menu, fantastic food. Well worth a visit.
Great food and a fast service. Also the hot chocolate got 5 stars from my son
