Recently taken over and now called 'no smoke' very up market food. Absolutely delicious with attention to detail & flavours.
Set menu with about 6 courses.
Tastefully decorated & well worth a visit for any food lover.

Without doubt, our dining experience at Vennells last night has been the best we’ve had in the last 3 years (including 18 months of Covid restrictions) and we’ve not stinted ourselves in eating out. Delightful staff, very pleasing ambiance, and deliciously inspired cuisine. Well done.

This IS one of the best places I have eaten at !! The deccor was lovely, the atmosphere was chilled and very friendly, the service was impeccable and the food was even better. Thank you, we will be back when we are in the area, this is a restaurant that shouldn't be missed.

The food was of a high standard but the service and attention to detail sadly lacking for a premier restaurant.
I understand that Covid-19 has caused staffing shortages but maybe the number of bookings should be reduced when staffing is limited.
When booking, insist on the upper dining area.

Lovely, small restaurant offering reasonably priced fine dining. I tried to book a table for my husband’s birthday through their online booking form but didn’t hear from them (I didn’t know, but their email responses were going to my spam). Despite not hearing back from me for weeks, Jon followed up with a phone call to ensure I got the booking. He could have easily let someone else book instead. The food is delicious and there was a great local gin selection when I went. Would go again if I was back in the area.
