Just the place for a family get together, it quiet and the area we were in didn't have sports screens all over the place. Staff are friendly and efficient, locals seated around the bar tend to hog the serving area. But I suppose they are the ,'bread and butter' of the pub. We have had several good v
This was not planned. But amazing staff warm welcome and the food was excellent πŸ‘Œ I had the pie and friend had the burger πŸ” and nothing was wrong. The size of the burger was shocking, and you need a good-sized tummy to finish it. Will definitely be going back again 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 from me. SUPER P

Clean and tidy. Good selection of beers wines and spirits. Great food. Friendly staff and customers.
Lovely oldey worldly pub in quaint Middleton with beer garden and outdoor seating. Staff are friendly and food was delicious. The menu is limited but it’s all pub classics. Everything was spot on and super generous portion sizes, which is just what you need when you’ve been hiking all day. Prices ve
We’ve just been a lovely walk on Middleton top popped into this pub for a spot of lunch, Annabel and Ella were amazing even though I broke the dog treat jar. The girls were absolutely amazing and lovely. A credit to the pub. The food was definitely five star very tasty xx
Good value for money pub grub. Very generous portions and good beer selection. Sunday roast was excellent.
I came here for the 4x4 meet up that was posted round open invite. Cracking pub frendly staff, good beers on tap, food & bbq was delicious πŸ‘πŸ» hope to see more of this happening.
Must remember to as if food is available before ordering drinks. For the second time today after getting drinks we were told that no food would be available as there was a well attended wake. Last time it was a petanq competition. So after drinking up we went down to The Boat for a lovely meal.
Stopped for something to bite. Beef lasagne with chips and salad was absolutely brilliant. Good prices. Plenty of outside seating. Spacious car park. Highly recommended.
Could not fault our visit yesterday, efficient staff, menu explained, loved the story of the pie maker being the local teacher, thk you Sir your pies were delicious πŸ˜‹ great area out back for the kids and lots of tables, great place to catch up with family and friends πŸ‘
Friendly pub. Nice staff and various beers. Didn't have food this time. Sat outside after walking on the trail.
Real little gem. Lovely staff. Brilliant value for money. We had the pies they were delicious. Great pint and decent wine.
A lovely watering hole after a walk on the High Peak trail. Nice outdoor seating area.
Small pub in a nice location. Has a beer garden for nice weather although it's not the most level of Gardens. They also serve food during limited hours. I had the double burger which was a good size and price.
Owner was fantastic to serve, order at the bar great seating area as the locals come i for beers after work. Had the steak and ale pie was fantastic and absolutely filled to the brim with meat
Huge burgers for the hungry teens. Prawn sandwich came with king size prawns, crisps and a decent salad. The only complaint was that the chips weren't hot
