Very nice place, we go for breakfast most Saturdays. Luvly staff and food always great. Definitely recommend for food. Also a good choice of plants etc and a luvly shopping area which sells all sorts of interesting products π
Visited the cafe yesterday for breakfast and it was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were very friendly and polite. I will definitely be returning there soon.
Lovely garden centre and friendly helpful staff always on hand if needed. We recently brought an hanging basket with a Β£10 off voucher making it a bargin at Β£4.99 I wasn't expecting much for the price but it's bloomed lovely and filled out to give a lovely colour and feature to my garden.
Although the centre was closed it was an awesome place to meet pre Matlock raft race and get geared up for an exciting day, if they were open on Boxing Day at 0730 we would doubtless have invested in some pot plants

I visited for the first time yesterday, bought a lot of bedding plants and even had lunch in the restauant with my partner. Will defininatly be visiting again.
Just love the garden center we always go there and come away with loads of plants every year they are not bad a price they have every thing for your garden you need and animals things to
Great place, well set out, vast range of choice of products, gifts, decorations, plants, garden ornaments etc great staff, very welcoming & friendly. Good offers too! Cafe is lovely, warm welcoming, clean with a great range of food, cakes & drinks. Everything all under one roof here for a nice afternoon out.
Came across it by chance. Large garden center with overflow car park. Had a good selection of summer bedding ,roses , perennials, shrubs and grasses. Had a range of different herbs and pond plants. Had some very nice clothes and accessories also has a loyalty card i noticed. Has a cafe looked very nice the bit i saw as i sat outside. The loos are located at the side of the cafe. It has a fish and pet section, wild bird products and fancy goods. Not bad at all. Dogs allowed in as long as they are on leads but are not allowed inside cafe but can sit in the outside area. Guide dogs π can go everywhere.
The whole shopping experience was enjoyable and as a result we spent far more than intended - good news for you! As a bonus many Christmas items were already available which is good for spreading the cost of the festive season. Full marks!
Nice garden centre. We really just stopped in passing to get a drink & bite to eat. We had cake & a hot drink each & they were lovely. It's a nice big open space cafe too. Lots of the plants looked nice as we passed & seemed to be well priced too
Lovely place to while away a few hours. Tea room is big and bright with nice selection of food. Lots to look at and lots to tempt you to buy.
Lovely garden centre with all you'll ever need and more. Reasonably priced, large stock of goods & gifts and lovely cafe / restaurant. Parking is close to doors too.
Some interesting plants my garden knowledgeable Mother had not seen before (and now is growing!). Friendly staff, dogs now welcome in half of the cafe and an outside seating area. Treats at the checkout for bored dogs!

I telephoned and the staff were great and resolved the problem within two days and kept me updated throughout.
Nice garden centre. A good selection of plants, shrubs and gardening equipment... just like any other good garden centre. The main car park is a little small and fills up quickly but there is an overflow car park available.
First time at the garden centre, went there for lunch. Both had the jacket potato, wife opting for tuna and lemon mayo and Myself having home-made chilli both fillings were very nice just needed a little more filling as the jackets were quite large.
Fabulous service informed friendly chap on the garden bulb side so helpful. Good products to choose from.
Have given 5*for displays and wonderful choice of gifts and plants etc, there is something for everyone- I would only give 4 stars for prices though - very clean and staff are cheerful and helpful

Great range of items, in different areas to browse. Good plant offers, with lots of choice. Friendly, helpful staff. 2 different parking areas. Disabled parking areas, in small car park can be a little difficult to get larger vehicles in.
Always a good place to visit as there are some interesting bits to buy. Plants are plenty & lots to look at. Restaurant is a must visit friendly, clean & good food.
The garden centre is located in the village of Tansley. There is a really good choice of quality, well presented plants, shrubs and trees. It is laid out very well so you pass through each grouping of plants. Once outdoors you find the more hardy plants, shrubs and trees. It is here you will find the Garden Gallery restaurant. Well worth stopping off for some refreshments. You will also find an aquatic centre and pet shop. We received a lot of help from the staff in the aquatic centre. We will definitely be visiting again. Thanks to everyone at Matlock Garden Centre for making our visit so pleasant.
This garden centre is more of a day out than just a visit for plants. π³π₯πΉπYou can easily browse the gardening section, have lunch in the very pleasant cafe. Browse through the clothing section and gift ware then coffee and a slice of delicious π° before heading to the till with your purchases. A thoroughly enjoyable visit. Thanks
