Oskar Pizza

I was very disappointed with the order of Four Cheese and Salmon on 27/4/21. Oskar used to make my favourite pizza in Melbourne, but this most recent order was close to the worst. The bases were burnt and tasted essentially like pitta bread bases with none of their previous flavour. The toppings also lacked the former richness and looked sad, which is unacceptable for pizzas costing around $28. Ordering online for delivery to Carlton North, my order was put through and payment was taken via card, after which I received an email saying that my order was cancelled, saying "You were charged when you placed the order but now the transaction was canceled." As it turns out, after speaking to staff, they would only deliver to addresses in North Melbourne, this was not stated. This means that an automated check was done on a delivery address, surely this could have been done before debiting a customer's card. After a full 24 hours, my reimbursement still hasn't been processed, so I have paid twice for pizzas that really didn't deserve to be paid for once. This is mostly sad since I know how good the food and the staff there used to be, only a few months ago. I hope that these specific issues, and more importantly the ones affecting the restaurant in general can be remedied.

Had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The venue is lovely and the menu has some interesting options but the manager/bar tender was completely unprofessional and rude. Firstly he waved us in and loudly agressively and told us to 'find our own table' after walking through there were literally no tables only places at the bar. We waited for menus and he ignored us, finally a very over worked floor staff came and gave us Menus,took our orders. I saw a table free and we asked the wait staff if we could move he Said yes, we moved and noticed that the wait staff needed help. We cleared a couple plates for him and my partner took empty glasses to the bar. She inquired about a glass of wine I had order 20 mins ago, the bar manger swore at her and told us we had to 'get out of those seats, can you go wait over there! Pionting at the door!! We left immeadiately. It's a shame because it seems like such a lovely venue but the barmen needs to find another career. Maybe a prison guard or something...

This is a hidden gem. It might appear another usual eatery from the outside, you will understand their class once you eat. Their ingredients are so fresh and good in quality. They will prepare everything from scratch, including the dough. Then would bake it in the stone oven. All the pizzas were very nice and fresh. I would definitely recommend the place to others.
