Emerald Hill is a quaint family run cafe at South Melbourne. At only $3.80 a cup, their coffee is probably the best priced in the area.
I had their home made sausage rolls to accompany my coffee, and I enjoyed it very much. The roll was packed with filling and was full of flavour. The pastry was buttery and flaky. I thought it was much tastier than many of the specialty bakeries around the area. Left a happy customer :)

Love their poached eggs and toast, and the coffee is fantastic too! This set used to be $9.90 but is now priced separately, but remains as good as it was in quality. Take your time...inside it's as if time has stood still for a few decades.

Emerald Hill Cafe catered our son's 1st birthday party in the park. They did such a wonderful job! Everything was delicious, arrived hot and on time, and everyone left the party raving about the food. Katerina was great to work with. She helped me pick the menu and was flexible about what they could offer, taking into account specific dietary requirements. We will absolutely use Emerald Hill again for future parties or events.
