Metropolitan Hotel

I held an afternoon event the Metropolitan Hotel recently and couldn’t be happier! The manager Sime was so helpful and kept communicating with me before and during the event. The food was delicious and the selection of drinks was great. All my guests enjoyed themselves. I will definitely be back!

The building is beautiful, lets get that out the way, and so is the interior. Clean, fresh and well looked after the inside is very nice and sets the scene. Staff seem a bit lost and new, but all cool and no issues, just a slight feeling of not quite sure what they are doing, however they do their best and its more that good enough. the food was very, very nice, and beautifully presented. The menu is varied and most items are very, very reasonably priced for what you get. We could not eat more than one main meal its all pretty big so best to avoid two or three courses. The atmosphere was a little empty but otherwise a brilliant night and great food.

We visited this hotel last night, the entrée was served at the same time as the main meal which wasn't ideal. We ordered desserts, after a very lengthy wait we found out our order had gone missing. Finally the dessert arrived (Lemon Meringue) and it was the tiniest slither I have ever seen and cost $9 - a total rip off. It looked like 1 slice cut in 2 for 2 people. We were offered drinks on one occasion only. Such a shame as this left us with a very unpleasant night.
