Attractively refurbished modern looking pub stop..decent beer and menu...good staff not bad prices..a good lunch stop on the way down south
Just left the inn after a very enjoyable lunch. We got there about 1 o'clock and found it fairly busy but enough tables to cater for other people who came in after us. We had to wait a little while for our meals...but it was worth it. I had the lasagna with chips which was one of the more reasonably
Very welcoming to us. We dropped in after a long walk with no booking at about 3.00. 5 adults and 7 well behaved dogs. We were directed to the function room, instead of the bar area, which was a very good idea. We ate drank and went home. I had scampi and lovely chips. The service was very good and
Fantastic place with fantastic food and staff. My daughter had arranged a surprise birthday meal for me, and the staff at The Sheaf were brilliant. They allowed her to decorate the table and brought me out a birthday cake. The food was excellent, I had the beef espertada, which I would highly recom
Visited for the first time today, the place has lovely decor and is very clean. The staff Charlie and Jess were very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely meal which was average priced, nice presentation. The tables are laid very nicely too. Charlie showed me the outside seating area and it looked
We had promised ourselves a lunch here as we had been past several times, travelling to the coast. We were not disappointed as the layout was lovely, lunchtime menu varied and very reasonable and 3 clean plates! Staff were great and we will definitely go back again as it has a dog friendly area as w
Very good value food and plenty of it, pleasant friendly and helpful staff. Major rebuild of the pub relatively recently which some may blanche at which is a little understandable. Very clean, two real ales, skittle alley retained thankfully. Main area can get noisy as there is little to absorb n
This place has just been re opened after being closed all summer. Good Sunday roast for 11.95. Quite busy, staff seemed new and a little flustered. Would give it another go on a weekday. I really do hope they succeed as they have gone to the trouble of adding a skittle alley when every one else arou
Excellent food, fantastic service, beautiful venue. Good vegan and gluten free range (suitable for coeliac). Great value and good portion sizes. Can't wait to visit again and would highly recommend.
Despite the late Sunday restricted menu there was still a great choice offered, we both ordered the longhorn rump steak, which was cooked exactly to our requirements. The ambience is gentle and refreshing, yet with a genuine family feel. Recent refurbishments have made this roadside pub a delight. W
Gorgeous little place, fab food, friendly attentive staff and we had a wonderful evening meal. Highly recommended 😊
Only been opened a month after being refurbished. Food excellent. Staff very pleasant. However there was one in particular who kept forgetting that she was serving you and would go off to serve someone else. Why are the toilets are always so cold.
Excellent food and very friendly staff, the refurbished work since our last visit is just beautiful, very clean and smart. Absolutely loved it.
Hadn't booked a table. Was fully booked but the lady said we could have a table in the bar if that was OK. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good menu and portion size. Would recommend and will be going back.
Staff are always smartly dressed and very pleasant and a bonus is its dog friendly pub. We have eaten here on several occasions and the food has been of exceptional quality and cooked to perfection each time.
Excellent food in modern and very comfortable surroundings. The staff were very helpful and obliging, even providing fresh water and biscuits for our dog. I would definitely recommend
Incredible food, very nice staff, excellent service, looking forward to going again.
Refurb looks good, good choice of beer and fizzy cider available, menu looks nice, yet too eat but will try it soon. Glad they have reopened again. Dogs are welcome in the top bar.
