I've been drinking in this establishment now for a few years and since the legend that is Kenny Gibbons has started his reign the place is a game changer, the garden for instance, which once resembled a overgrown woods located somewhere in Solihull has miraculously transformed into a place where dreams are made. This garden is by far the best place to be in the summer when it comes to melksham beer garden weather, the grass truly is greener on the other side.
The friendly atmosphere is outstanding to say the least, the barman Dylan is a piece of eye candy every drinking fanatic should experience, from his boyish good looks to his need to please all is borderline biblical. The pint pulling perfection on this phenomenal individual is second to non.
But enough about the hero that is Dylan (I know, I'm as upset as you are), I feel we need to give the new chef and his outstanding food preparing skills a little recognition. I recently had a curry from the New Inns meal maestro that is Morgan Burton, and the way Dylan carried it out was sensational, bag of curry in left hand, bag of curry in right hand, it can only be described as a Wednesday chicken curry catwalk that I for one will never forget.
If I had to describe this majical place in one word it would be "bullshit", because you cannot possibly describe this place in one word.
Highly recommended and strongly suggest a visit or 12.
BLAP! X

Friendly people running this clean and tidy establishment.
Decent outside space in the sun.
They serve a full menu and also have a pizza bar in the garden. Unfortunately we didn't have time to sample the food but the drinks were good and the atmosphere friendly.
From start to finish this was a great experience. The welcome we got from the servers made us feel very special, they just had the biggest smiles and easy conversation for young people. Beer was good and the food excellent, I had the beef burger onion rings and chips and my wife had vegetable & halloumi burger. To finish we had a share of bread and butter pudding with cream so top marks to the chef, yummy.
Nice atmosphere, but food not to expectation.Slow cooked pork, was sctualy quick cooked last minute pork, tough to chew, hard to eat.Lassgne was better.Nice outdoor garden for the summer days.
Today 9 of us went for lunch, the food was amazing. The staff are lovely and so friendly.
We are all definitely come back
Pork belly was to die for, sausages & mash was amazing, good range of desserts on offer (we really enjoyed our bread & butter pudding & choc fudge cake). Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, meals reasonably priced, what more could you ask for? Thanks for a great meal.
My partner Sophie and I recently had the pleasure of dining at The New Inn Pub in Melksham, and let me tell you, it was an experience worth raving about! From start to finish, our evening at this charming establishment was nothing short of delightful.
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the exceptional food. Sophie opted for the steak, and it was truly a masterpiece. Cooked to perfection, each bite melted in her mouth, leaving her utterly satisfied. As for me, I couldn't resist trying the lamb cutlets, and I was not disappointed. The lamb was tender, succulent, and bursting with flavor, leaving me wanting more with every forkful.
And of course, the grand finale was the heavenly Fudge cake, served with generous dollops of cream and ice cream. This divine dessert was the perfect ending to our sumptuous meal, and we savored every last crumb.
The lively ambiance of the bar added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening. The place was abuzz with patrons, creating a warm and convivial atmosphere. It was clear that The New Inn Pub is a favorite spot for both locals and visitors alike, and we immediately felt welcomed into the jovial crowd.
Moreover, the service was outstanding. The staff at The New Inn Pub were attentive, friendly, and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of perfectin and catered to our every need, making us feel like valued guests.
If you find yourself in Melksham, make sure to visit The New Inn Pub for a gastronomic adventure that you won't soon forget. The outstanding food, bustling bar, and top-notch service make it a must-visit destination. Whether it's a special occasion or a casual night out, The New Inn Pub is sure to leave a lasting impression on your taste buds and your heart. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
We ate here last Friday night, had four lovely starters and four wonderful main meals. Service was excellent too, not many restaurants would be happy to show there kitchen ten minutes after Service but this pub did and it was spotless.Great local pub,Well done to the whole team.
Recently reopened what a little Gem Berryfield has to offer. The staff were welcoming, the food delicious. 3 times I've been 4th tonight 3 times I've had the ribeye steak 😋 🤷♂️ What can I say it was fabulous. I must try something else tonight.
Great little pub.
Finally managed to eat from the menu. Can't fault anything with this place. Everyone enjoyed the food, the beer was great as always and the staff are great.
We had a really good meal here. Very nicely decorated and pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely return here. Very good value for money.
The food was amazing. The staff was so friendly and lovely. I ordered the vegetarian lasagne delicious. Recommend five stars.
Huge thanks to the team at the New Inn this afternoon, providing the venue my grandmother's celebration of life. Their approach was respectful, service attentive and a plentiful selection of food. Many thanks.
Went in for a mother's day meal. The food was great. The staff were very friendly & attentive. They had live music, which was very good, but a bit loud, it was difficult to hear what my sons & partner were saying! My sons paid, I had a phone call later, to say we hadn't paid. My sons rang back & I think they had paid for the wrong table. So perhaps a little more care needed, if they are busy. As I felt awful, thinking it had been paid for. But it got sorted
Nice pub to pop in for a beer. They do a nice pizza too. Reasonably priced too.
Really good atmosphere, and great to see a busy pub.
2 of us ate, and both the starter and mains were both nice tasty pub grub.
The only reason for not giving 5 star was the added service charge on the bill. I understand for large tables this is usually specified, but for a table of 2 too add on 10% left us both feeling abit annoyed, after what had been a really nice meal out. I would have tipped more than the service charge aswell, but feel that's the customers decision.
The owners have done a fantastic job of turning a run down pub into a great place to eat and drink, but ultimately the service charge would probably put me off returning.
Came down to see some friends and they suggested eating here. Had a great 3 course meal and very reasonable on price. Really nice place with great staff. Thanks
Pub and food very good couldn’t fault fantastic service apart from the chef who came out 3 times to shout at his staff very loudly did not appreciate listening to him while we were eating besides he should have took them somewhere private not in front of customers
Turned up Saturday afternoon, Christmas Eve, got talking to Ronnie the owner.
He told us about an event he had on the evening I then asked him if I could come, he said no initially I asked him again and again eventually he allowed us to come.
Probably one of the best Christmas Eve's we've had.
Brilliant staff, friendly locals, quality entertainment.
Sorry Ronnie but we will definitely return!!!
