We had a lovely meal for mothers day , all serviced at the same time , 16 of us. Very good service , lovely staff and very reasonable prices. We will be going again . Thanks Bootle arms .
We were walking up the canal from Old Roan to Maghull and this is a convenient halfway point for lunch. If you didn't know where this place was you'd never find it. Luckily someone invented GPS and the Satnav will now get you get here no problem. I enjoyed the Hunters Chicken baguette for lunch. It was very reasonably priced. Service was quick, and staff were very helpful. They have a reasonable range of beers and ales. They also have a large beer garden and car park which I'd imagine would fill up in the summer.
Wow such a lovely place with a very fresh and friendly atmosphere too, we where strangers here but never felt like we where the staff are so lovely and friendly and nothing is too much. We will be making this our go to in the future if you have not been yet make sure you do. I cannot recommend this place any higher than amazing. Thank you for making us feel like this we will ge back.
Huge thank you to the bootle arms! This is our local pub and is a regular place we go. We really enjoyed the movie night they do. While eating our food and enjoying a few drinks. The staff are amazing! And food is always perfect. Couldn’t recommend enough. Also a huge bonus why we love it there is it’s dog friendly and they have there own dog menu!
Edit* Myself and my girlfriend have been back here a few times since my original review. The service has been great every time and the food has been great! We were served on our most recent visit by Lucy and Hannah, who were great. But all of the staff are! Keep up the good work!
I visited here in February, the food was nice but the service was a bit up and down with some members of our party having had already had their food before some had even been served theirs. However, this was for 20+ of us, so you kind of have to understand that it is tough to accommodate for that many people.
I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try here again. Me and my girlfriend loved it. We had a Sunday roast each, the food was very nice, the service was great and it wasn't too badly priced.
The pub itself is nice, with a decent sized beer garden and a kids' play area.
We would like to visit again to try different meals as their menu is good with plenty to choose from.
Had a good meal with family. Their food was excellent. My gluten intolerance was well catered for but my meal was not quite as hot as it should have been. However, it was delicious. prompt and friendly service from Joey.
Beautiful setting, enclosed children's play park. Despite being very busy, service and attention could not be faulted. Drinks and food arrived ahead of time - was tasty and good value, especially for my child.
Bar staff Eva in particular was very efficient, friendly and informative about the day's special drinks.
Popped in this morning for breakfast. Charlie looked after us and made sure everything was good. Well recommended. Dogs are welcome and there’s even a menu for them too.
Had a lovely family meal here. Mixed grill was cooked perfect. Asked for my steak rare which not many places get right but it really was spot on.
Great portion sizes for the money too.
Our server Lucy was lovely. Very attentive and polite!

We booked for 30 family and friends to help us celebrate our golden wedding anniversary.
The staff let my sons and daughter decorate our tables, and went out of their way to assist. From the moment we arrived until we left nothing was too much trouble for the young lady who was assigned to tend us.
The food was well received by everyone as it was cooked and served to a really good standard.
So well done everyone at the bootle Arms for making our evening a special occasion.

Such a lovely pub ! Always feel welcomed by the friendly staff here, Hannah was so lovely today she helped us out as we were in a rush and made sure we got our puddings in time nothing is too much trouble. Food is always generous portions, looks appetising and tastes even better !

What a wonderful place to visit. Such a warm, friendly welcome from the moment we walked in. Was looked after by the manager grant, what a fantastic person, made ever effort to make sure our whole evening was perfect. The rest of his tram was nothing but amazing with us also. Clearly a pub ran in the correct way, all other guests we could see got the exact same treatment as we did. The whole team are a credit to marstons..
Staff were very professional and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We had a party of 35 people of all ages and most were catered for well. Prices are reasonable and food was good and served hot. If I had one small critic I would have liked more vegan on the menu our vegan did not like cheese or curry and therefore the menu was limited. All in all we had a wonderful event for my mums 85th birthday and we will be back again soon. Thank you

We came to the bootle arms for our mums 60th birthday and all we can say is WOW. What an amazing place! We have been here before but I’d have to say it was over 10 years ago! The staff were amazing, couldn’t have been more accommodating! The food was spectacular and we loved the changes to the menu! There was something for everyone. The establishment was clean and the day was amazing.
