Had an excellent meal here. It is a takeaway with a few tables rather than a restaurant but the standard of flavours and good quality was awesome. The owner was happy for us to bring our own wine and eat in. Would recommend. Thanks for a lovely meal 🍛😋👍🙏
Although I know the Thai owner/chef from her other food outlet, this was our first takeaway from the Rak Thai in Melrose, and it did not disappoint. Quite simply the best meal I have ever had!
Takeaway food (well, except we sat in at one of the cosy tables for two) at restaurant standard but so much more than that. I was doing my best Somebody Feed Phil impression with every single mouthful.

First meal from this wonderful place. We are staying at the caravan site in the town and fancied a treat meal. This didn't dissapoint.
The tempura prawns and the spring rolls were delicious and fresh.
The egg fried rice so so freshly made (which is a huge plus for me). Red Thai curry also fabulous.
Delicious Thai food! The chicken satay, pad Thai, and Tom yum have great flavor and really hit the spot.
First time at Rak Thai tonight and we’ll most certainly be back. Amazing food which really lives up to the reputation. Service was brilliant and friendly. As vegetarians we felt really well catered for.
We called in last wed whilst on holiday in Melrose , we ate in and were well looked after , we had tempura prawns and a roast duck dish , it was superb 👍
Stopped in as read the reviews and they are not wrong! Originally was going to takeaway but they kindly accommodated our change to eating in. Remember, this is a takeaway that happens to have some seats (genius idea). Food was spectacular and staff so friendly! 10/10
Since moving up to the boarders been looking a for a decent Thai place and I have definitely found it. The food was amazing and good size portions. We had 3 starters a main curry and a pad Thai and was plenty for 2 people. All takeaway containers bio-degradeable Will be back again very soon.
Absolutely fantastic food. We were in Scotland visiting some friends and thought we’d give this place a try. We were not disappointed. Really lovely fresh and flavoursome food. Would highly recommend! This was also my first experience of Thai takeaway, so so good! :)
