A lovely welcoming pub. We were visiting the local area and wanted to watch a football match on Sky Sports. The Scottish lady behind the bar was very friendly and the whole place was inviting. We took our baby and dog and we managed to find a spot just right to accommodate us all with the pram and pooch. The pub was spotless, a very high standard of cleanliness not often seen.

For a local pub the Waggon is hard to beat. Pam and the team are top notch.

Love this place. Really friendly staff, doggie friendly. I couldn't believe the price of the drinks, fab. £7 something for a bottle of Desperado and a pint. Cheap as chips. Had to stop for more than 1!! 5 stars.

Fantastic food, with a beautifully tender steak of your choice (ribeye, sirloin, rump) served sizzling on a hot stone, so you can cook to your liking and keep it piping hot. Adds a fun dimension to you meal! Beer excellent as is the wine. You will receive the warmest of welcomes too from your host and hostess and bar staff. What's not to like!

Pie and quiz night.. Excellent as usual. Not been for a while and the addition of slides shown on the many tv screens was a welcome improvement... And the cheaper pints also a nice touch.

This is a proper drinkers pub, no frills but a great atmosphere and really friendly. We were fortunate enough to catch a great evening of a talk from a guy that has worked all over the world helping impoverished children find homes. Didn't have food but great place to spend an evening!
