Called in to Meltham Fisheries today after a 12 mile walk over the local moors. Had a fish butty, which was absolutely lovely, and the price was very reasonable too.
Not bad at all, food is ok, staff are lovely. Chips can be full of little scrappy bits which I don’t mind but some people wouldn’t be happy with. Overall I like it here
Beautiful fish and chips, if you are in Meltham, this is the Chippy to go to. Not like the other one which is greasy and awful, Westgate I think it's called, absolutely awful. Meltham Fisheries is the one and only go to Fish and Chip Shop in Meltham. Absolutely wonderful.
The best fish and chips around. Chips are nice and dry and crispy, fish is perfectly cooked and crispy batter. Looking at the menu board they offer a good s lection of alternatives to fish, including some delicious haggis in batter. Staff are really nice and friendly. Well worth a visit.

What more could one want from a traditional Yorkshire fish and chip shop! Best fish, cooked to perfection, tasty and crispy batter, served with perfect, (brown), chips. All cooked to order!
The friendliest service and the best chips with scraps you'll ever eat! We travel for miles to go here, there really is no point going anywhere else.
