La Perla Restaurant

We visited on a Friday evening for my husbands birthday. The restaurant is lovely with a nice atmosphere, friendly and welcoming. Sacha could not do enough for our party, and made sure we had an amazing experience. Starters we took a mixture of prawns, risotto's of the day, and were even surprised with my husbands favourite dish of octopus. The Gambas la perla were cooked to perfection and the risotto was full of flavour. For mains we took the Mare monte (surf and turf) and the casanova fillet, both cooked to perfection exactly how we requested, (so no need to order rare if you want it medium). The 2 men took a "Rambo" to share, it was huge and again cooked to perfection. All dishes has plenty of accompaniments and the portions were abundant. Price wise, impossible to beat the prices in terms of quality, not just the food but where else can you get a decent bottle of primitivo or valpolicello for the £20 mark? Service was friendly, welcoming and great communication. We are the kind of people who prefer to wait a little longer for our food as we know we will be getting fresh cooked, so if your looking for fast food you may be best placed at macdonalds. We are very happy to have found this little gem and look forward to returning. Can't recommend enough. Thanks to the team at la perla and we will see you all again soon.

Walked past this delightful place and decided to try as visiting the area for business. Happy to say one of the best random places I've stopped off at. Couldn't fault the food and eyes were bigger than belly so couldn't finish the generous portions. Service was excellent and checked everything was OK but not to the extent dinner was interrupted. Would recommend and will revisit when in the area. Owner joined me for a chat and genuinely pleasant man to speak to.

My Wife and I went here while on our honeymoon and we had a fantastic time! The food was amazing and we cannot wait to visit again, all the staff were lovely and accommodating, my Wife is gluten free (Cealic) and they ensured everything was spot on for her and there was a great selection of what she could have. Thank you everyone especially Sacha (the chef) and Milosz who was our waiter. Thanks again we cannot wait to return!

Have been to eat at La Perla a few times now and have always enjoyed my experience. The atmosphere and setting is so friendly and welcoming, and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal there! (I insisted on coming here with friends for my birthday meal last weekend, as I wanted them to experience it, and was treated to the most perfectly cooked steak I think I've ever had in this country!) The staff are incredibly helpful, and after said steak, asked to pass on my compliments to the chef, who came out personally to thank me for the compliment and wish me a happy birthday. This kind of personal service is the reason I will continue to visit La Perla many times in the future. 😁

Simply perfect. My husband and I went for a meal for our wedding anniversary last night, the experience was great from start to finish. We were welcomed into the restaurant and asked if we wanted drinks at the bar or to go to our table. We'd sat in the sunshine for drinks beforehand so went to our table. The lady serving us was very attentive and friendly. We chose a bottle of the Italian House Red wine which was very nice. We both had mussels in white wine sauce to start. The mussels were cooked beautifully and the sauce complimented them so well, soaking it up with some fresh bread was delicious! We both had steaks for main course, mine with dolce latte and wrapped in parma ham and my husband had the surf and turf. Both steaks were cooked just how we liked and you could slice through them like butter. We were both blown away with the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the serving staff. We will definitely be returning and recommending La Perla to our friends and family.

A fantastic italian restaurant which provides great food and excellent service. I visited La Perla for the second time last night with my husband, it was the perfect place for a child free evening and we decided to have a full 3 course dinner this time (which worked out as £24 each! 😊). We were greeted by the same manager and waitress who remembered us. The menu had changed since we last visited, they have a large menu with a good variety of dishes. I was glad to see that the King Prawns were still on the new menu- they are AMAZING! My husband had the brie and parma ham dish which was beautifully presented and tasty.Followed by the Al Salmone penne pasta dish, which was delicious. My husband had the La Perla pasta dish which he had last time and thoroughly enjoyed. The portion size was just right and we had a dessert each. All courses were 5⭐️- superb presentation and delicious! The staff are very attentive, it's clear they love their job and customer satisfaction is highly important to them. The restaurant is very clean, has a nice decor and a welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend this restaurant! Walking back to the car after the meal, I was already working out a date with my husband for when we could visit again. La Perla is fantastic and I'm so pleased it's in Melton.
