Friday night meal with my wife - mains and puddings were truly magnificent ! The portions were spot on, service was welcoming and efficient, nice atmosphere in the pub as well. Dog friendly although we left ours at home as I didn’t want him having ANY of my succulent rump steak ! He didn’t get a doggy bag either - it was that good ! Very highly recommended 👍🏼

Absolutely faultless in every way, can't rate this place highly enough. The food is exceptional and I had the best pie I've ever had without doubt! They even sell Staropramen lager that made it perfection for me. The service was also fantastic and price was reasonable for such high quality. Looking forward to working anywhere nearby again so can return. 10/10 a very well done to all that make this gem so superb 👏

Visited for the first time last week with friends who recommended, fantastic place! A warm welcome and superb food, venison pie was amazing.good selection of food and daily specials, along with beers etc. was busy so be sure to book! We will be back for sure.

It's an absolutely beautiful place. It's a gem of a place and the staff are so nice and friendly.
We stopped off for a meal and ended up having a lovely 3 course. They had a set 3 course but me and my wife asked if they had Prawn cocktail for starters (as I'm a oldie), it wasn't but nothing was to much trouble for the staff and chefs. The food itself was gorgeous, I had the venison bourguignon, and it was mouth watering. It had an extensive menu, something to suit everyone.
The atmosphere was very relaxing. Spotlessly clean. Couldn't fault it. I would highly recommend the Royal Oak, you will not be disappointed, that's for sure.

A couple of weeks ago my husband enjoyed “date night” we had our first kids taxi too… it was a great success. The food here is really good, there’s sufficient and varied choices to suit most. We pushed the boat out to three courses. All were lovely. It’s got a really cosy feel and the service was great. Thanks guys. Sorry we forgot photos of the mains… we were enjoying the Italian Red!

We went for the eat out deal and it was great value. Lovely food and great interior. The staff were busy and did apologise for being busy but to be honest I think they were being hard on themselves as if was great experience.

Wonderful Sunday lunch at a lovely country pub and restaurant. Really beautiful food and friendly, prompt service. The children's menu includes good quality produce too, with chicken breasts as the 'nuggests' and the tastiest skin on fries. Ridiculously good value with the current menus. All felt reassuringly well organised for covid, with sanitiser available everywhere, cleaning clearly taking place, table service, maked out areas on the floor and tables well spaced. Couldn't fault it. Thank you x

We went for a family dinner and we had 4 different meals. Each of them was so delicious, you could say the food was beautiful, so beautiful. I'd give it 6 stars if I could, will come back again for sure. Professional service and food to die for.

On holiday in the area and visited pub after a walk. Sat outside and had a drink. Weather not been great recently so I'm sure the garden probably hasn't been popular, but it would benefit from a bit of tlc to get it ready for the more warmer days for sitting outside. The meals being served inside looked very nice and the pub was very busy so it's obviously popular.
