Ferneley's (the Dairy Barn Cafe)

I absolutely loved this place! I came with a friend for a ice cream and oh my goodness....what amazing ice cream. If you have a taste for the creamy stuff or just want to treat yourself or the kids, this is the place to come. Outside, there's a barn where the little ones can play, a big sandpit, a grassy area with benches and tables and mini golf! There's a field holding the biggest happiest pigs I've ever seen...I actually say a huge pig running around like a dog! Very funny! Inside there's a cafe and shop. The food was spot on..a gorgeous platter of tuna mayo sandwich, crisps and salad for me...followed by ice cream. I'm going here again! Prices ... Good. I paid £23 for two platters of sandwiches and 2 drinks. Then 4 scoops of icecream just under £8.

Fabulous place! Entertaining for children with a sandpit, play areas and adventure golf course. Dog friendly too. Lovely Italian ice-cream and very special sundaes! 😋😋😋 We had the berry breakfast waffle with forest fruits. The coconut and lime ice-cream is to die for! Great savoury dishes too including veggie options. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff!

Went for a team building day with work got breakfast roll and a drink tour round where they make ice cream couple of games of crazy golf which was gr8 fun ,had a walk up the fields ,had lunch had a really nice day with work mates and finished off with ice cream lots of tables outside to if you get the nice weather ,the staff were all superb and very polite as we're the hosts . Such a relaxed environment to bring the kids to. Very clean, friendly and so much choice on the menu, in fact we were spoilt for choice. I had the vegetarian quiche which was served with chips and a side salad. The miniature golf is good value and play barn is great for toddlers. Lots of space to seat both indoor and out. Definitely family friendly, pet friendly and inclusive. A lovely assortment of take home ice cream flavours and an excellent selection of home made chutneys nd sauces as well as souvenirs and gifts. I'd definitely recommend Fernleys for a family day out.

Such a wonderful family friendly place to go for a day out or just an hour or two. Loads to do and so safe and comfortable for toddlers and dogs! We went for lunch (fresh and yummy), sat outside, our toddler walked around and let off steam, we had ice cream (amazing flavours), and played crazy golf. Our dogs on leads were able to be outside or inside, and we could stay comfortably as long as we wanted.
