Really friendly bar staff. Dog friendly (our stand-offish dog even made a friend). Super characterful pub. Amazing cocktail menu. Lovely locals!! Couldn't have been a nicer experience (and they leant me a pen to write my postcards)!

Great quirky pub with really friendly people to welcome you in for lovely real ales and loads of other drinks. On a sunny day the beer garden is wonderfully wild and much appreciated by the local bees and butterflies.

Great quirky very friendly pub/accommodation. Adie has a lovely team. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Great place to stay. Definitely recommend a trip out to puffin island with Rib ride, just around the corner. Saw seal colony and porpoise. Special thanks to Adie, Freyja,Sam and Maya for making my stay so welcome.

Adrian and Ruby are awesome hosts and I love how they handle their pub and hotel.
Room was spacious, clean, and well equipped (it has a refrigerator too!).
Pub and the beer garden is just amazing. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is chill and selection of drinks is just awesome.
Also, I had a good sleep because they the keep order in the house. I recommend this place.

There's a gate just inside the door with a sign saying 'please wait to be seated' - many pubs do this, in one way or another, so although it was unusual I was wasn't offended (like some of the reviewers below). So, a quirky start but then a friendly face behind the bar welcomed my family in. A good selection of beers and wines, and an AMAZING selection of spirits. There's a pool table, and a cracking table-top arcade game. A really friendly place, defo recommend.

Lovely place with a nice vibe and friendly staff including the landlord. Good selection of drinks on offer. Was surprised by the barrier as we entered but seems like an effective way to maintain the atmosphere and stop it getting overcrowded. For me if the landlord is prioritising that over extra income then fair play to them
