Review Brewers Fayre Swan - Mere

A wonderful dining experience, the staff are always polite and helpful and willing to go the extra mile, including adapting meals to suit dietary needs. It is always a great place for a meal, whether for a family lunch out or a light meal on the way to somewhere, and is guaranteed to provide an all round positive, family friendly atmosphere and excellent service.

The Swan has amazing staff and baristas who love to serve you and look like they generally love their job! This place is very cosy and suitable for any occasion. I love coming here for a family meal, there are lots of options for vegetarians and meat lovers, and the puddings are spectacular. If I could come here everyday I would!!

We visited this restaurant for the first time on our way to Liverpool. Restaurant looks good, tidy. We were waiting a couple of minutes for somebody to come to show us our table. It wasn't busy for Friday night. Table and cutlery were clean. After we ordered our food (disappointed that no unlimited hot drinks served here) and drinks, we were waiting for our meal for around 30 minutes. Thankfully the food was hot and freshly prepared. I liked mine. As we weren't in a hurry, I was okay to wait and therefore ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ended up here for a late mid-commute evening meal, and thoroughly enjoyed it! The place is clean, well-kept, and welcoming. I opted for the mixed grill, which was an absolute delight. The staff were professional, polite, and really helpful. Pleasantly surprised, and will certainly be back.

This is a Great place to go to eat without any hassle and that can satisfy all appetites, where the staff are kind and you receive a friendly smile and the service is quick and efficient. There is a good choice of dishes which makes decisions difficult but the food has never disappointed. I Love the soda drinks refill machine which gives the kids so much choice and saves you asking for them to be refilled for you. There is a new bypass now which removes passing trade but it is worth a detour if you are hungry and want to eat, drink and get good service and value for money with staff that care if your happy.

We called here for the first time yesterday lunchtime, with a tight schedule but needed food quite quickly as we had an appointment to make. They were excellent and delivered good food within our set time scales and service was good too. Later that day on returning home, our plans were scuppered by severe traffic problems and we decided to cut our losses and call back in for dinner. Upon ordering the food and explaining our problems- and that it was our anniversary- our table was instantly festooned with balloons, crackers and party poppers- the food and the service and the staff were all excellent- and this level of spontaneous customer service was very much appreciated. We will be back! And thank you for turning a very frustrating day into one that ended on a high xxxx

Consistently good food. Staff always kind and helpful. Whenever we visit family in Cheshire, we always meet up for a meal at the Swan and we always enjoy it. Particular thanks to the manager who went out of his way to make sure my mother in law was able to enjoy a wonderful meal on Christmas Day. We are all very grateful to you for your kindness to her. Thank you so much.

Went as part of a large family gathering and were seated in a nice little alcove, handy as we had a 14 month old who was prone to loudish outbursts! The menu had a good selection, enough to please everyone and that's saying something! We didn't have to wait long either which was a pleasant surprise!

Staff are generally excellent here, and very helpful for whatever you need. Food is generally very good, and reasonably priced compared to all other similar pub dining out places. Monday to Friday 12 - 6pm they have 2 for 1 on selected meals which is a very decent deal. Easy to park as there is parking right outside.

Used to visit many years back to car club meetings. I remember needing a torch to read the menu, or taking it to the window in order to be able to read it. Things have changed and the new light bulbs make the menu readable again. I had a good meal served timely and enjoyed by all four in my group. Parking is easy, but watch how you go when returning to the east of you have not been for a while. The road changes caused me to lose my way but it was a nice trip. Will visit again

My wife and I celebrated our 61st. Anniversary yesterday. We had lunch at The Swan ( Mere) with family. The staff had preset the table which was a delight to see. We were warmly welcomed and treated like celebreties. The food was delicious and every plate was cleaned. The chef had inscribed a dish with chocolate sauce for the occasion which was a lovely touch. We simply could not have had a better day anywhere else. Thank you to all who made our day so special.

Had early tea. Great value 2 meals for £8.99, cannot fault it. Served quickly, food arrived fresh & piping hot. Great place for pub food. Staff excellent. Definitely recommended.

We had lunch here today; one friend had Ploughman's salad which was very substantial, and three of us had cod loin on a bed of ratatouille, with roasted new potatoes. Cod was perfectly cooked. Potatoes had been described as 'crispy' but were actually soft. Meal was good as was service.

Walk in, table of 6. Seated straightaway and served with a smile. Kerry? at the bar was very pleasant, food arrived rapidly. All cleared our plates, best rib eye I've had in a long time.

Lived in or around Knutsford for 40 years. Finally tried this place for Sunday lunch. The staff were friendly, but I thought the food was just ok. The place looks tired and a bit dated.

Absolutely love this place. There's Brewer's Fayre's closer to where we live but this one is by far the best. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is welcoming. The food is excellent, always well presented and hot.

Had a gluten free pasta on the menu which I was told about only after scrolling the allergies chart .. which is a nightmare .. just write out a gluten free menu & help us with food intolerances please !

Fab food and lovely relaxed atmosphere, staff are very friendly and welcoming, only thing that got me was the road changes, bit of a nightmare, but that isn't the pubs fault. We will definately be back.

Was here with family for my birthday. The service was good and the people here were really nice and friendly. My legs are not good at the moment and some steps although few were a bit different in height so a bit difficult for me but i managed. Lots of seating so i would definitely recommend it if your in the area,

Fabulous Friday night thanks to Team Swan! Finley's 5th birthday celebration, last minute booking and they fit 10 of us in. The table was decorated lovely, balloons, banners, sweets and colours for the kids! The food was amazing and the staff were too! Special thankyou to Claudia, Ramona, Carole and Joe! Finley loved every second!

Easy, relaxed atmosphere, pleasant staff. Although it’s only a Brewers Fayre, it has more of an ‘old pub’ feel about it. The only downside is a smallish car park and with an awkward access.

Love this place, always great food, lovely staff, very friendly, can't fault it.
