Review The Bulls Head - Meriden

Visited plenty of times before and always been happy. Our server Michelle went above and beyond for me and my husband. Food was delicious. Service was great very attentive and checked in with us when time was right. Great selection of food. Atmosphere was ok. Music could of been a touch louder and the little touches with cleanliness could be improved. However we will be back! Thank you

Food and service was fantastic! Our server was attentive, and each course was faultless. The Mediterranean mezze was better than anticipated, each plate was full of flavour and very generous. I had the rotisserie chicken and swapped out the chips for mash, shames me to say but better than my mum's, if this had a Yorkshire pudding it would have been a fantastic Sunday roast 😋. Without a doubt the tastiest chicken I have ever had! The desserts were homely and filling, perfect for a cold night! Will most definitely be back, the consistency in standard for food and service is hard to find nowadays 👏, thank you❤️ Also they are dog friendly 🐕 defo an extra star for this, would be great to try in the summer as the outdoor area looks lovely.

Ideal country pub meal before flying from bhx airport just far enough away not to be ripped off but close enough (9 min) to the airport carparks. Very good food and reasonably priced definitely worth a visit especially if you need a hearty meal before departure from the UK 🇬🇧

This was our second visit to stay and dine with you. We were blown away the first time, coming to this hotel feels like you are coming home. The staff are friendly, efficient and go above and beyond. From the minute we checked in we felt look after. This stay has been extra special as we got engaged the night of our stay and celebrated with a delicious meal and drinks. We had a short wait before being seated at a perfect spot in the restaurant and served quickly. Our starters were delicious! There was a bit of a wait for our main, however the food were well worth the wait. Puddings and cocktails absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The room we stayed in was stunning, very comfortable and clean. This is a place we will definitely revisit! Thank you to the amazing staff.

Wait staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Food was excellent and served in great time. The draught beer was off but there was plenty of signage stating this and plenty of options of bottled beer. Perhaps a slightly intimidating menu but the waitress was approachable to ask any questions

Good food, cooked well.. I cannot understand how this restaurant only has a 40% approval rating at this time of writting as it excellent in my experience.

The food isn't cheap and the portions are not huse but it is wonderfully cooked.

If you want a relaxed, romantic meal with a loved one. Then this place will see you proud.

The only downside, it really needs a larger and better served bar, it can get far too busy up there.

Love this pub. Great selection of beers and an nice menu. In the summer the court yard is lovely to sit in. In the winter it has a cozy open fire and friendly atmosphere.

Food was on point!!!!!!!! Service was as bad as it gets DON'T BOTHER IF YOUR FROM THE US!! TOTAL DISRESPECT. Had to clear and clean our own table . Had servers walk by over and over with no desire to help each other. I even help clean up a broken glass and Not even a nod of thanks. Chef is only reason to put up with it!

We visited the Bulls Head for lunch last Sunday with our good friend Danny who had advised that this was by far the best pub in the locality. This was the second example of the "village pub and inn" offering from Mitchells and Butlers (massive pub and chain food operator in the UK) that I have visited recently and it was much more successful than its sibling in Sussex. The Bulls Head is a nice old building which has been restored with some care and retains plenty of period charm. There is a seating option to suit all tastes so it's good for couples, with plenty of intimate nooks to get romantic in, and it also works well for larger parties. There is a spacious terrace out back for when the weather is a little more pleasant than on our visit. There was a decent choice of beer on offer with Doom Bar, Bombardier and 6x on the hand pump; all in fine condition, crystal clear and served at a good temperature. B was drinking the house White which she said was ok if a little bland. With the "village pub and inn" brand it's obviously all about the food and they are trying to attract an older crowd who want to have a meal and a couple of drinks rather than the "wet" only punters. The menu was a bit war and peace which is always a warning sign but our choices were well executed and presented (although for many dishes this means it's, at the very least, part prepared and then reheated). The roast selection, you get a decent size portion of three meats, was pretty tasty although you could easily have shared this between two people. Service was fine although you need to keep on top of your servers; they are all quite young and seem well trained in avoiding eye contact if they are in a busy spell. All in all we had a very pleasant Sunday lunch here and we would not hesitate to return. A well-deserved, rather than a grudging, 3 stars.

The Bulls Head is a nicely updated 17th Century Coaching Inn with a large car park. We called at lunch time had gammon and chips for around £9 and Burger with bacon and cheese and chips for £11. Both were nice, although the portion sizes were perhaps a bit small for the price. The service was good: the building is quite large and nicely decorated with some original features like nice fires. Recommended.

Went for a meal and service started at seven thirty. Food mainly good, but deserts are a bit hit and miss. The five pound lemon meringue pie was a lemon curd tart with a tiny meringue nest balanced on top. Our waitress was polite, but service time was degraded with the restaurant fully booked.

This is a gorgeous restaurant with great food, Visited here NYE 07 and had a great night. Menu was really good with a large specials board also on offer. Had a small wait for our table where we had a drink at the bar, great variety of drinks and champers if its a special occasion. Food was delicious and although not cheap was very well priced for the quality of food being served. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again.

Without a doubt the best pub/restaurant in the area. Lovely staff, consistently excellent food, and a beautiful place to sit and relax. I visit almost every week, and the latest chef is better than ever. Well worth a visit if you're in the area!
