Had a stunning meal tonight at JOL's. Loved everything about the food and the service was great. Definitely punching above its weight in Merthyr; get down there for your next special occasion.
The service here was fantastic. The food was so delicious and I am glad we went thanks to a recommendation from Linda W (who loves it there) it was my first visit to Jols and I must say I was very impressed. Definately go and try it out if you are nearby.

Seriously great food and the staff here are amazing. They really went above and beyond helping the family and my disabled mother. We ate a delicious 3 courses and some lovely red wine. I'd highly recommend and hope to be back soon!

Have to say we were disappointed, having seen the menus on the website, to be offered, at 7.30 in the evening, a limited £20 set menu of which there is no mention on the website. But l guess the menu has to be adapted for a cold Wednesday night in April in Merthyr.

Found myself staying locally and ended up eating here both nights. Small plates that easily contend with London restaurants that cost twice as much. Good wine selection too. Panzanella salad is the one to try.
A real find - the diamond in the rough. Chanced upon this place quiet by accident, but had a superb meal with the best, home-cooked chips l've ever had. They were happy to hold our table when the taxi was 20 mins late to take us there, and extremely helpful when one of our party lost her debit card.
Great menu choice good value for money two courses for £15 three courses for £20. Lovely food good service will definitely return. Two visit now can't fault anything.

An amazing restaurant in the heart of the Welsh Valleys. Jamie has done an amazing job brining tip quality food to Merthyr. We visit regularly and will continue to do so. Vegetarian options as standard on the menu, Vegan options can also be catered for on request
My husband treated me to a birthday meal at Jols and it was delicious, I had monkfish and my husband had Ribeye. The service was excellent, the food good and a very relaxed atmosphere. We intend to become a regular customer 👍

Christmas lunch was amazing. (1x vegan, 1xveggie, 8xlets eat everything ). The staff were incredibly attentive and the food was beautiful. Premium ingredients cooked to perfection.
