Review The Horn Inn - Messingham

Last night we went to the Horn Inn and enjoyed a wonderful evening. We both ordered the 7oz Rump steak, one Rare, one Medium and both were fantastic. The pub is really welcoming, the service is great and the staff are lovely. Highly recommend.

Lovely place, nice decor and furniture, rear beer garden. Only 3 stars for atmosphere because when we arrived it was quiet except for a few in the beer garden. The staff were lovely and friendly 😊 😍 Food good and traditional 😋 They have a steak night 2 rumps and a bottle of wine for £35, Bargain! Please do visit, you won't be disappointed. Car parking at rear, for customers only.

It's Good! The food is delightful the chips are proper, potato wedge thing's, but don't be misunderstood they're exquisite. The only con? As of the food being homemade, you will have to wait about 1-2 hours for your well-worth it food.

Incredible food, worthy of much higher prices than they charge.

Fabulous, cosy pub with homely interior. Staff are friendly and really attentive to ensure you have a good time. Food is fabulous, really tasty and the chef makes a massive effort to provide a good menu. Staff really try their hardest to ensure you feel Covid secure and space tables out and maintain discipline in a sensible way. A lovely, friendly place to visit Helen and Lauren are just fabulous and make you feel really welcome.

This place is an absolute gem in a lovely village setting. The food is fantastic, service is great and nothing is too much trouble. We like to go with our little boy and are always made to feel welcome. Dogs are allowed in the bar too which is great!

Excellent fish and chips. Lovely light batter and thick cod. As good as I've had in many a year. Very friendly bar staff too. This pub was recommended to me and they were spot on.

Great proper old style village pub with good selection of Ales, beers and ciders. Very reasonably priced and a lively friendly vibe to the atmosphere

Went for my Dad's 80th birthday with six of the family. Beautiful food, superb range - something on the menu for everyone. Friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere. The whole team made it a really special night. We've already booked in for the next tapas night (first Friday of every month). Thank you. X

Lovely old fashioned pub and very clean. The many Staff are 'excellent' and atentive and really do look after the populace. The food was OK! not so excellent as was expecting and was looking forward to, this is for a Saturday evening. A lot on the menu was not available, then when we did order and received, 2 of the dishes were not very good for the price of £30 each, infact, we would have paid £10 only for. Also the wine collection for our meals, again, not enough choice and what there was, was poor quality we received. A pub not having a Rioja or Merlot, come on!! So, we do not know if the usual chef was off on this night, or they were waiting for orders of wine, either way, we will try again and see if it will be any different next time as we live in the village.
