We visited Middleham for lunch one Sunday and what a find the Wensleydale hotel proved to be. We thought there was a French feel to it and as the owners have lived and worked in France , not surprising. A beautifully restored building with tastefully decorated and comfortable rooms. The manegement and staff were wonderful and made us feel at home. The Tack Room restuarant (part of the hotel) was delightful and the food suberb. Could not recommend more highly.
