Our new go to place for food and drink on a match day! Used to always go to Lloyds but now it’s closed we needed a new venue! It’s always busy on a match day so need to get down quite early but usually manage to get a table now!
Food is always spot on, proper pub grub which always does the trick! T
had parmo salt and pepper chips 10/10 all the time our lass had rodeo burger chips not forgetting my tub of garlic sauce got a takeaway carton for some to of the food to take home recommend all the time
Very friendly local, with terrific food ( giant Yorkshire with mash and mince was ace.) Music/karaoke on the Friday was busy with a terrific variety of styles catered for. Visiting from Leicester made to feel so welcome. Bar staff really friendly chatted to locals as if they were old friends. We went for the cavery Sunday Dinner, there was a choice of beef, turkey, pork and Gammon, all the veg was fresh, beautiful gravy, staff were friendly, excellent value, definitely be going again

Eye opening but fun & enjoyable
First night in Middlesbrough and discovered O'Connells. Live band was awesome, played some great covers and had the pub singing. Price of pint very good too with plenty of choice for everyone taste.
The food is amazing, the staff are friendly it's not overpriced. It's quickly becoming one of my favourite places for Sunday carvery

Cracking pub with great service and friendly staff. I regularly visit on match days and the atmosphere is always buzzing. Prices are reasonable and it's also a decent pint.
I am blown away by the shear amount of food and quality of the meat. A choice of 2 different meats from 4 available, loads of veg, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, plenty of sauces available and lashings of gravy. Best Sunday lunch I have had in years.
