Stopped here for quick grab on my journey and found nice little gem. Very cosy pub with amazing outdoor seating options. Friendly staff (Ethan), who recommended pork belly bites starter, which was absolutely amazing. £8 for starter and £3 for half pint of cider.

When you see the sign that reads “Big Sunday Roasts” You better believe it, they are big and there’s plenty of vegetables (cooked to perfection) and what’s more the staff are very friendly and the beer tastes great!

Haven't had the pleasure of eating there yet however I was impressed by my overall experience.
I stopped by for a couple of drinks at the weekend and served by a very polite/helpful lady. Before I even had a chance to take my glasses back she was at my table and kindly took them for me. The choice of drinks is impressive.
The garden is the perfect place to sit in the summer and the pub itself is in a peaceful location.

Had a lovely Sunday lunxh today, 04/06/2023, with my partner, and dog. Pork and beef roast, which was huge, great value for money. Front of House could not be more accommodating, even looking after our dog. Very clean restaurant, lovely bar area and gardens. Couldn't ask for much more after a glorious walk. Can't recommend this place enough, especially the food. What a treat! Well done The Half Moon.

Our first visit for Sunday lunch having avoided dining there under the old management. Very pleasantly surprised. Ample portions of classic roast beef and all accompanyments. Happy to dine here again.

Eight of us met here for lunch on my birthday.
Very welcoming, nice food, nothing was too much trouble and we all had a great time.
Will definitely be going back.

We went on a Sunday to the half moon. It was taken over a year ago and the new landlady was very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good - my MIL said the salmon salad was one of the tastiest she has had because it had so much variety. Roast portions were very generous. The restaurant area is good, but we went through the bar area and it let it down a bit as it smelt like smoking (nobody was smoking in there, not sure of the source).

Popped in on our way home on a whim. The food was amazing and the land lady was so nice and helpful. Have never been their before but will definitely go back. Thanks again.
