Good food, service had room for improvement.
Most of the food was good, the starters and desserts were very expensive for what they were. Chicken wings were over done, sticky toffee pudding was average. The mains were good but potatoes seemed like they’d sat in an Alto Shaam for hours.
The service was patchy with waiting staff swapping and missing things.
Plenty of free parking.
Overall it was good, a nice pub in a nice location but I wouldn’t rush back.
Popped in for an impromptu lunch as time to spare. And as always was superb. Swift friendly service and food was just amazing. I love a sandwich and initially opted for the salt beef but that was unavailable, but that was a sign from a greater being and so I went for the chicken focaccia and hands down one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Flavours just hit every spot and worked so well. Mac & cheese was tasty and not super heavy and everything else was great. Thank you and can’t wait to return
On our way to London we decided to stop in that lovely looking pub. We were travelling from Milton Keynes but when I’ve seen pictures of that place I convinced to prolong our rout by 25 minutes 😅 my partner was laughing that I was the one complaining that we left too late and then chose pub not on a he way. So when we arrived I was amused by both buildings (pub and the building across the road 😍 then very polite staff , cosy atmosphere, clean… but the food was a winner 👌🏻 it was something absolutely perfect in any way 🥳 eggs had perfectly running yolk and lamb was perfectly cooked (pink inside) but warm 😻 and tender , on top of all that I could not resist myself and ordered butter veggies and asks to add truffle and parmigiana 🙈 that was an orgasm in my mouth 👄
So definitely recommend that place 🙏🏻🥰❤️
