Great service, great staff, lovely food. Softest towels ever! Miss this place and it’s your loss, it has been closed due to Covid and now under new management. Breakfast first class local produce. Very welcoming, accommodating and comfortable overnight stay. Extremely satisfying evening meal and great choices of breakfast, including traditional and less so varieties. Also available, cooked lunches, coffee and snacks. Really enjoyed our stay with our canine family member and would definitely r
Where do I start, this hotel is brilliant!! Fantastic service and the breakfast was spot on. Staff were very polite and professional. 100% will be returning back here again.
Superb accommodation, with very friendly service, and the food is just so delicious. We highly recommend this gorgeous pub.
Lovely meal on Friday night will be visiting again.
Strange, we had to pay for our breakfast. Ok rooms and breakfast but no hot water in the morning, the boiler broke down. They could not accommodate us for an evening meal , they had a big 'do' on but the manageress took the trouble of finding a local pub and booked a table for us, very kind. We came
Called in for a drink on a Sunday afternoon. Warm welcome from staff and helpful advice about choosing a drink. Lovely interior and toilets spotlessly clean. 7 year old daughter commented on how nice they smelt! We didn't eat so can't comment on food.
Went for breakfast which was very good service was good will definitely go again
We required somewhere to stay while being in the area to attend a family funeral. The Queens Head is a lovely place, we were given a warm welcome by the friendly manager and staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable. This is worth considering when in the area.

Went to the Queens Head tonight for a meal as it's the wife's birthday tomorrow, haven't been there for a while. We had a meal and were both stuffed. Great new management. Given the place a new life and really made it a place to go for a drink. Good evening events being put on through the week
Lovely old English pub/ restaurant/ hotel. We came in for dinner just before Christmas. Some of us had the roasts, some the steak. The steaks were perfect and cooked to request. The roast dinners were nice but the veggies were only slightly undercooked. The staff were very friendly and accommodatin
Facilitated our friend's hen party lunch, excellent food and fantastic service. The staff went above and beyond and decorated the table beautifully. Highly recommend.
We stayed here for two nights at the end of March. The beds were very comfortable and even with the windows open it was not too noisy. I had a great night's sleep. The food was good. Richard (the evening-shift) was amazing. He was funny and very attentive. The only negative I can give is that the sa
Well located pub on the a6 ! Probably an old pub as it is decorated, but definitely shiny and well set upped tables. Nice atmosphere ,also got a fireplace. Wasn't busy on Sunday evening but still few tables showed up later on. The pork roast is good, beer expensive though. The menu offers good selec
