First time here, always walk past this place but I’m so glad I stopped here to see what the hype was all about. Chips taste amazing, fresh, crispy. Portion size is generous and a bargain. Most importantly the customer service with the gentleman running the till is outstanding!
Nice fish and chips, but popular and uses one or more delivery services, so expect a wait of a few minutes for your order.
Amazing fish and chips, quick service and a lovely battered pineapple. It's a takeaway only but well worth it.

My favourite fish and chip shop. Quick service, fresh food, and friendly customer service. Reasonable size portions as well. Car parking available near by. No seating area inside.
Great fish and chips. However my mushy peas were like soup and so salty I might have died if I ate them! It might have been a one off mistake, but you need to tighten up here folks. I'm generously only knocking off one star though ;-D
Update: went back a second time and the mushy peas were top
Since we’ve found Friars we won’t go anywhere else for our chippy teas! Always arrives piping hot, tastes great and they’ll always give the perfect amount of salt and vinegar (and give more if you ask)! ❤️

Very good fish and chips. It appears to be cooked fresh to order which means a little bit of waiting time, but excellent fish.
Like many fish and chips shops they were a bit tight on the vinager even though I asked for loads - not a major problem if taking home, but a little disappointing if eating

I say that this is by far the best chippy in the Milton Keynes area. The chips are fantastic, their portion sizes are second to none. I would highly recommend people travelling an extra mile or two to get their chips here then settle for getting them elsewhere.
Very good value for money. Large cod will feed our family of four ! They always cook to order so its always tasting fresh. Well staffed so quick turnaround..By far the best around. Well done guys. +++
