Absolutely fantastic Chinese takeaway and very underrated. We were recommended this place many years ago and have been coming here ever since, despite trying out most of the other MK Chinese takeaways over the years. There's nothing bad to say about this place, we just hope they don't change anything! One tip though is to go and collect, delivery times can be long but you can usually collect your takeaway in 10-15 minutes if you phone in advance.
The best Chinese food .I've ever eaten at good friend's takeaway. I recommend ordering chicken balls, which are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, singapore rice noodles and lemon chicken, which taste like a secret recipe. I will continue to order food here, the price and quality are very suitable and authentic.
Chinese takeaway. Food good. Only 4 stars as item we wished to order, (that is showing on the menu) was not actually available any more. Menu has been showing this in error for some time and needs updating.

This is my favourite local take away! I've been coming here for years. I've tried the others around here and this one is the best fortaste, value and service. They are so friendly here and the food is always piping hot! 5 stars!
Crazy fast service (though relatively quiet as early). Tofu with ginger/spring onion very nice, great balance of fresh ingredients and indulgent sweetness. Mushroom chow mein a bit oily. Not a local, but would order again if I were. Great to have vegetarian choices. Thanks.
If you used to use this place a year ago it was average at best

We have ordered meals from the Good Friend over many months. The food always arrives on (or within) the time stated. It is hot and we have never found reason to complain. We will continue to use The Good Friend as the quality is always excellent.
Been ordering from here for years! Best Singapore rice noodles, original smokey taste from the the wok. Curry sauce is the best! Chicken balls always so moist. Meat is lovely, pancake rolls and to die for. Tried other places....cant beat it! The Good Friend! Thanks 😋😋😋
Regularly use The Good Friend. Very happy with the quality of the food and friendly service on the phone and also the drivers. Will continue and is a firm favourite, is always delivered within the time stated.

First time ordering from here and I must say that it was very nice with decent size portions. The food was also reasonably priced, the only negative was that even though we spent £36 We had to pay £3 for delivery as we live 4.4 miles away. Also no complimentary prawn crackers which you would expect for an order our size (we may have been spoilt by our other Chinese restaurants) would definitely order from here again.
Have been using this place for years as the food is good and staff have always been friendly but sadly they no longer do the chunky Chinese chips. Confirmed tonight on the telephone. The Chinese chunky chips were awesome and had a taste different to normal chips. They were always a great side to the Chinese food and came in a massive paper bag.
The standard chips they are now doing are poor value, might as well get them from the chippy, cheaper too.
Will not be ordering too much if at all in future, without the chunky chips on the side it's just not the same.
Consistently good food. Always reliable for delicious dishes and we personally love that it isn't too greasy and tastes fresh.
