Dobbies Garden Centre Milton Keynes

Wow, I've visited here twice now and it's been fantastic both times. There is so much selection on everything you could want for your garden but also on books, food, clothing and even Christmas decorations. There daffodil bulb selection blew me away. Having been looking for these at other places Dobbies had the most variety and at great value. Definitely recommend a visit. Their cafe is also great, I had the millionaire shortbread and it was delicious.

Visited for a driving break returning from Wales to grab a quick cup of tea and some water. There are several other fast food/beverage establishments on this service area but I knew they would be typically overpriced and crowded with screaming kids so the garden centre was a better option. Much more relaxed with outdoor seating and more reasonably priced, I didn't personally buy any gardening materials but seemed like a good place to shop too.

Credit where credit is due! Called this morning just to enquire about the kids eat free offer. Ashley (sorry if spelt wrong) from the restaurant answered the phone, very polite and straightforward, explained everything to me in a way I understood. I was very impressed by the service over the phone and can't wait to take the kids down to soft play later! Huge well done to Ashley, as much as you always expect great customer service on a call, it's very rare nowadays. Keep up the good work.

Easy parking, big spacious shop. Restaurant was not too busy for a Saturday lunchtime. 3 of us ate, toasted sarnies with a side of yummy chips and a cold drink. Good value, service was very good with lots of friendly smiles. Worth a visit. My m-i-l bought some new plants/shrubs for her decking pots. Good choice, free advice available which was great, seemed good value for money as well. She was very happy so all good. Very pleasant experience.

The garden centre itself is fine, plenty of good stuff and outlets. What I wanted to particularly mention was the hot drinks and cake counter in the cafe. There were two women serving and both were doing a splendid job despite being rushed off their feet. What was especially nice was the smiling demeanor of the younger one giving the impression that your custom was genuinely valued. That's not to say that the older lady wasn't doing a good job,she was,but it was so pleasant to be served by such a friendly young woman.

Popped in for breakfast. Had the traditional breakfast for two which saved £2 had they been bought separately. Combined with the two free hot drinks offer each month by using the Dobbies card, it works out at a good value for money breakfast. Got sat down almost straight away and it didn't take long for both our drinks and food to arrive.

Currently as I write this they're having a store revamp. ( Sept 2022 ) the Christmas section is just being put in place. It's quite a large dobbies. Plenty of parking. Access off the main road. Toilets available. A cafe ( when renovated) will re open.. A pets section. Cotton traders. Aquatics. Sainsburys. Cook ware section. Children play area outside. Hot tub area outside Sheds Clothes and wellies. It just basically has everything in one place !!! I shall re visit once its complete and update my review, but its definitely worth a visit. Spacious too and doesn't feel cramped inside !!
