The tearooms serve fantastic food. I'd highly recommend the roast dinner served on Wednesdays and Sundays. Make sure you book in advance though as it will sell out. The breakfast is also excellent. All the prices are very reasonable. Everything is cooked to order and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Fantastic for traditional mains and desserts done will at a reasonable price. The Sunday roasts seem particularly popular with the older generation but all sorts were in there. Polite and quick service. Vegetarians and vegans well catered for, with egg and chips, baked potatoes, or a vegan burger available. And you can visit the animals nearby too! Highly recommended.

Lovely place, they took in a stray puppy my brother found a good few years ago and were kind enough to update us on her progress and let us know when she found her forever home. I remember at the time we stayed for fish and chips after a brief look around. The food was delicious!

Took our grandaughter she loved it we will definitely be coming back. The goats and geese were eating out of her hands. Lovely man that owns it very friendly and such a reasonable price. How lovely that all these animals are rescued. Well done keep up the good work.

I've been coming here since I was little and it still makes me so happy to see all the animals. Tried the roast dinner for the first time on our last visit and I was amazed at how delicious it was, especially the melt-in-the-mouth roast beef

This is a small rescue farm, not a zoo! They rely on public support/donations so be fair. I LOVE it here! The animals are as friendly as you are respectful of them. This is my feel good place.

Excellent food. Very welcoming staff. Very clean and airy premises. Will cook special food needs when given prior notice. All in all a place to eat good home cooked food is highly recommended.

Great little no nonsense restaurant and tea rooms. Visit on Friday for excellent fish and chips. Better than most fish and chip shops. Roasts served on Sundays.

Mistley place is fantastic, what the owners are trying to do should be much admired. Some people have complained saying, that the site is untidy but that is total rubbish, most places were animals are kept in numbers are not immaculately tidy. The volunteers should be given great praise. Well done.

We are regular customers and I dont think you could get a better breakfast anywhere. We sometimes bring family and friends with us and all have agreed. Good price and friendly staff too, well done!

We keep coming back here even after I got stung by a hornet! it's a great experience for the kids and it being so low maintenance and rustic instead of commercially driven like Jimmy's farm adds to the learning value children will get out of it. It is a rescue shelter and is funded, I believe, solely so no help from government. I've heard too many negative comments about this place which it doesn't deserve! keep up the great work!

Lovely little cafe but they aren't allowed to advertise from the road so you might miss it! Friendly staff and good quality food at a reasonable price.

Lovely place to have a wander around and more importantly, a great place to adopt from! The café serves tasty meals and snacks. Perfect place to stop after a stroll along The Walls.

Excellent quality at very reasonable prices, lovely staff too. Have just read a 'REVIEW' by Samantha, she obviously went somewhere very different to the Mistley Park we know, love and visit frequently (we visited on Sunday 20th August), the horses on the park are well fed, cared for and have ample space, large, grassy fields, as anyone who knows anything about horse knows would present a risk of laminitis which is a cripplingly painful condition and should be avoided at all costs. The Rabbits once assessed, cleared for possible health problems and vaccinated are well housed in large, clean hutches and have ample space. The chickens, ducks and geese are all incredibly healthy and consume huge amounts of feed and grain, not scraps. In fact all of "Samantha's" comments have no basis in fact, one can only assume she has an axe to grind or has personal reasons for her vitriolic comments.
