Fantastic restaurant in the heart of Modbury. The food was absolutely delicious. My wife was allergic to one element of her dish and the chef swapped it out without any fuss. We shared a sticky toffee pudding (one of the best I've ever had) and the chef plated it separately for us to make it easier
Fabulous hotel. My room was immaculate. Breakfast was delicious. The owners are a very friendly and welcoming couple. Particularly enjoyed them joining in with our leg pulling cholesterol free egg gag haha. Thank you for a great stay during what was a very sombre trip.
Relaxed, comfortable stay over 5 nights, with great tasty food both at breakfast and dinner, with meat from local suppliers.
Evening meal a little on the expensive side: We had the pork chop and the fish of the day which was plaice. Both meals were delicious and perfectly cooked.

Staff were very accommodating and couldn't do enough for us and make us feel welcome. Great food, dinner was exceptional and breakfast very good with some choices. Bathroom was excellent, clean and modern with a powerful shower (one of the best we've had!) and excellent complimentary toiletries.

Clean and tidy area's great selection of drinks most certainly worth a visit
Surprisingly good pub food. Very tasty burgers made from local ingredients. Kids meals really good value and good quality. Chips were skinny fries which were fine, real fries would have resulted in 5 stars.

As we were visiting the area anyway, we knew that we had to return to the White Hart Hotel, this time we both had the Sunday roast; the chef hasn't lost his art, wow, everything tasted devine. The biggest shame is that we live so far from the White Hart Hotel.

Father's Day lunch for 7. Good choice of farm, sea or earth dishes. The roast was amazing, also ate the fish of the day and vegetarian risotto. Everyone gave it 10/10. Two very lovely ladies looked after us extremely well.

We visited the White Hart Inn while camping nearby, and sat at a table in the bar area as it’s dog friendly.
The menu had recently been updated and we chose steak and chips and chicken with potato dauphinoise which were delicious.

Walked down the hill and ate here twice. Had the fish the chips, spectacular! And the seconds had the scallops, by far the best scallops I’ve had. They had done magic with asparagus, did not know it could taste so amazing!
The White Heart although it has (for now) restricted opening times has no restrictions on serving high-quality food and drinks, much of which is locally sourced by the owner/chef and his team, including the rare, low-fat Salcombe Meat Co Dexter beef steaks.
