What a lovely Inn. This is situated in a lovely little Village in Trellech. Lovely drive to this place. Plenty of parking. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Would advise booking as very busy. Sunday lunch is served from 12 - 8pm. As soon as arrived staff friendly and welcoming and lovely atmosphere. Myself and my partner both had the Lamb which was really nice and hot, plates hot and vegetables cooked perfectly soft as requested. They do various events. They do accommodation. Just again a lovely place. Will definitely go again and recommend

We had Sunday lunch here today and it did not disappoint. The food was exceptional, the ambience of the new extension just as good as the original pub. When in the area it is always our first choice to eat, drink and join some of the ad hoc festivals. We will return without a shadow of doubt. A jewel in the countryside!

Beautiful quaint pub, with an outstanding food selection. The staff is very pleasant and goes out of their way to accommodate. We stayed in the area for 6 days and dined there 4 of those days (twice for dinner and twice for lunch). Fantastic experience!

Often go and have Sunday lunch here with my parents and sister. All their meals are really delicious. Treated ourselves to deserts as well today. The Banoffee pie was the yummiest ever..apparently it was made by Tallulah..thankyou Tallulah! All the staff are all so friendly and make the place feel warm and homely. The new extension room is amazing..love the way it's been done.. with rustic wooden beams and a large glass window with a pretty view of the church opposite.

We stayed at the cottage accommodation, very cosy and had everything we needed. Although we didn’t eat or drink at the pub, it had a very welcoming and homely atmosphere. They seem to have extended their space with a modern extension, giving the pub even more spaciousness. It was also busy. We were quite pleased to see a pub doing so well. The landlady (Debbie) and her team obviously care about The Lion Inn and their customers very much. Thank you for your hospitality.

A lovely local pub. We came to visit as we were camping nearby and had a fantastic meal. We had the curry and lasagne and both were lovely. And a fantastic surprise to have Henry Westons on tap! The staff and service were both wonderful as well.

The staff were really friendly, and the food was delicious. Huge portions ... I had one of the 'for smaller appetites' meals, and still couldn't finish it! Sat outside in front of the pub and watched the world go by; thank heavens for the stump under the table ... very handy for us folks who are shorter in stature! It's obviously a very popular place, as there were plenty of people eating lunches when we arrived, and a constant stream of bodies arriving while we were there. The carpark isn't massive, but we parked in a residential road just round the bend and walked round, which was no problem.

A random stop on our way south through the road & what a great stop it was. Staff greeted us, showed us straight to our seats & provided the menus. Our table was right by the side of the bar so got served pretty much straight away from the bar which was cool. We ordered starters & main course (mussels) & they could not have been more tasty. Thank you to all

First time I have been here , I cannot recommend it enough. The service was fantastic, we had a dog with us and it gets anxious around other dogs and there was another one in the bar, the staff immediately came and moved us to a table in the back of the room away from everyone. They were all so friendly and helpful. We had the sharing platter and soup for starters all excellent. I had the vegetarian lasagna as my main and it was delicious, there was a wide choice of dishes on the menu and we all enjoyed our meals and the portions were very generous. So much so that we couldn’t contemplate having a dessert although those being served to other diners looked tempting. We will be eating here again and although it is 50 minutes from our home it will be a new favourite destination

We had a great meal here on a Saturday night. Lovely pub, really generous, proper pub food with an extensive menu. Two starters, two main courses and four drinks later with a bill of just £63 was great value. Add in some excellent service and you can figure out that we'll be back.
