I recently went for a meal to celebrate my friends special birthday.
Our experience was a really good. Food was delicious and the staff were very attentive.
Thank you for making our afternoon a very enjoyable one. I have no hesitation in recommending this pub. We will be returning.
I have never had a bad meal at Hurley flyer but this evening the food was by far the best ever. We as a family really do enjoy going

Ate here on Tuesday (27th June) service was lovely and the food came quickly. Really enjoyed my meal too which was nice and hot.

Have to say that we had an excellent experience in the Hurley Flyer. Clean tidy and good customer service. A big thank you to David and Lydia for making our visit a pleasure. Good luck to the new management!

The Hurley Flyer is a proper sports bar/pub with top quality and tasty food to boot. There are a large number of TVs throughout the venue, at least 9 inside and one large TV in the outside garden area. Everything is well-organised, clean and as you would expect in a sports pub with an area within the pub that can be described as the 'sports area', complete with a pool table and large wall-mounted TV. The outside seating area is also furnished with a large TV and is ideal for enjoying the sunny weather and televised sport at the same time.
I visited recently to enjoy a nice afternoon meal with a friend and it just so happened to be at the same time as the Manchester City vs Manchester United FA Cup match. The atmosphere in the pub was calm and friendly with the staff members making us feel instantly welcome as we ordered drinks and found a table to sit down. Ordering of food was fairly straightforward via the bar and it arrived in less than 15 minutes. My friend ordered the mixed grill whilst I opted for the veggie burger with fries. Both servings were appetising, ample in size and served with a smile by our waitress who made sure to check up on us a little later to make sure that all was as desired. Excellent customer service.
Nice chain pub. Typical selection of pub grub. Had no Fish and Chips on, which was a shame. Also the ale I chose (on the app) wasn't available either.
From the get go, this place is amazing. I was served at the bar by a very helpful girl named Anna. I ordered a cowboy burger and a pepsi Max followed by a strawberry ice cream sundae. The food came out fast and was delicious. The food was brought out by Sophie and Claudia who were both very lovely and chatty. Rebecca and Will run such a lovely establishment, I will be returning next week to try some different food!
Super friendly staff, easy to book and food was great. Family friendly restaurant.
It was very busy the night we went so there was some waiting around but all staff were very apologetic.
The bar/restaurant is a very nicely set out space and you’ve made so Much more of the outside area at the front, which is great in hot weather. The play area is dated and the fencing needs replacing for safety reasons and to make it look nice.
The food was lovely, and we all had a lovely time.
We visited as a party of 13 on a Monday night to celebrate a birthday. We pre booked through the website which was easy to do & had good communication from them confirming the booking. Table was ready when we arrived. Lovely dining room, clean & modern. We ordered separately but everything arrived at the same time which was great & we didn’t have to wait too long for the food to arrive. Reasonably priced. Everybody enjoyed the food, the only criticism would be the pizza’s weren’t cut & the pizza cutters provided weren’t the best which created a bit of a mess for the 3 people who ordered them.
All in all we had a lovely evening & we’re well looked after by Anna, Connor & Dave.
Just had a great, beautifully cooked mixed grill. The chef must be a real good one. Spoke to the one of the new management, very pleasant guy, says they have only been there 11 weeks so on this showing should be a great experience for any clients. Thanks very much. All staff lovely too. Dog friendly so people from surrounding caravan parks would be advised to eat here if dogs not welcomed in their clubs etc.
Very friendly staff and lovely hot meal which was enjoyed by myself & friend. The plates went back empty so I think that says it all.
Can’t wait till next time as the menu has so much choice!
Everything about our visit was lovely. The helpful and cheerful staff. The food. All 6 of us cleared the plate. And the whole place is clean and well set out for diners and people calling for a drink and to watch the entertainment. All of us said we would definitely visit again. Fabulous!
Excellent food served here steak was actually very good my partner had the ultimate chicken burger was lovely also .on each occasion we visited food was excellent not forgetting the chocolate fudge cake which was also lovely
Very friendly and helpful staff. Food very nice and promptly delivered. Fancied a bottle of wine rather than a beer but there was no wine menu available. Gentleman that served us was very polite and managed to advise what wines were available. Overall very nice experience and have booked again for another meal on Thursday evening. The entertainment (band) were very good so stayed and listened to them after our meal.
It's a very laid back atmosphere at this pub, staff are very efficient and care about there customers. The food is excellent and hot on arrival. Even asked if we wanted some time after starter before main meal was delivered. Overall a lovely lunch, would like to visit more often but like most people just couldn't afford to , however it was our wedding anniversary so had saved up. I have to say the prices are reasonable because the portions are very large. Good value. Thanks for an enjoyable laid back visit, will recommend.
we booked ahead for a table of 10. all our food arrived at the same time, which I know sometimes can be a bit difficult. Everyone enjoyed their meals. the only snag was my brother-in-law didn't seem to get the extra onion rings that he asked for. He only had 3 onion rings on his plate?
Overall it was all very good and will visit again.
My family visited for a catch up with relatives from the area. We took my mum and dad's dog, all the staff are super friendly and really go the extra mile to ensure your visit is a pleasant one. Good food, reasonable price but it really is the staff that make the visit a special one.
As always a very warm welcome ,good selection of beers and wide variety of food on offer, very quick service and hot and tasty food served. Only downfall was as there was a football match on we had to swop our glasses for plastic tumblers ,that was disappointing considering we were there for a meal and a relax.
