Fantastic little English pub we came across on our visit to the area. The food was very tasty and it was good value for money. The publican was a friendly old rocker who played some good vinyls while we ate our meal in the dining room. It was accomodating for our 2 kids as well with a children's me
An excellent village pub. Perfect selection of ales. Staff are friendly, the decor is comfy, warm and welcoming. Food is great, priced very well, and always flavoured and presented well. I could write lots more, but it would be an essay. Do visit, its worth the stop.
Out of the dozens of pubs we visited on our trip to England, this was our favorite. The publican spun vinyls while we enjoyed our pints. The atmosphere was was laid back and the food was terrific pub fare. The decor and furnishings are classic and the apple pie was perfect. We could not have asked f
Fantastic little find, can't recommend this place enouth. Friendly staff food is great value & really good quality 5* to the chef. Ever corner is full of interesting things to look at & spotlessly clean. Can't wait to return soon.
Lovely pub with a pretty beer garden. Very welcoming and dog-friendly. Lovely lunch at a reasonable price.
Had a lovely meal here on 5th July 23. Staff were very friendly and although we were a little late arriving the chef said it was fine. Would recommend
Superb on every level.. Vinyl records for the music.. Great pint.. And delicious Dutch meatballs 😋 must be tried..
Food was good, nothing too fancy, but reasonably priced, nice traditional pub.
Nice pub to visit love all the random sofas and chairs in the bar area, if you can get by the big cosy open fire even better. Cosy and very friendly.
Great pub with traditional beer, food and music. Good valve for money.
Wayne and his team were very welcoming. Food tasted amazing. We will be back!!!
A very good experience lovely atmosphere very good landlord and landlady if I lived there this would be my local as it had the best feel to it of all the pubs in the town, mostly locals in it which for me as a solo visitor created a relaxing atmosphere.
Very good food. Was able to bring dogs in, which helped with a good choice of drinks and a good price. Very good service
Oh wow, the service was so good. And the food was even good quality. With such a quirky interior, so much to see... The rooms were clean and so comfortable and themed with great decor. We stayed in the new York room with really nice bed. The food was soon well prepared with great service and a frien
Often driven past this pub and wondered what is was like, well wonder no more, we called in on our way down to Devon and will definitely be doing so again. It was smaller than expected inside, but had a good friendly atmosphere, a great choice of drinks and the food was simple but delicious, my Hu
A really nice place, great team and amazing vinyl collection
Great pub, made very welcome by staff and locals, excellent food, dog friendly. Highly recommended.
Lovely traditional pub. Landlords were very chatty and polite. Food was good, not massive amounts, but we preferred that. Very reasonable prices and delicious deserts. Will be back!
