What an amazing hidden gem we had a fantastic time today visiting The Walled Gardens. Beautiful gardens, fantastic staff and well worth a visit highly recommend and can't wait for our next visit
Yesterday we spent a relaxing afternoon having an amazing afternoon tea with a large group of friends to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. Our friends had travelled from Surrey and all said they had not had a nicer afternoon tea anywhere. We had never seen so many warm scones and dishes of cream!!!! Thankyou so much to all the staff for making us feel welcome and special and will be definitely back soon.
Visited yesterday with my friend Manta, we booked for afternoon tea at 2.30. We arrived an hour & a half before so that we could walk round the gardens, we started off visiting the plant shop, then onto the pigs. Before then walking back through to the gardens, even though we are in Autumn the gardens are beautiful. Plenty of spots to sit & chat, while photographing the many butterfly's.
The Afternoon tea was delicious & beautifully presented, a selection of sandwiches, cakes & scones which were served warm.
The staff are lovely. We shall be certainly returning.
I shall be revisiting with my husband very soon.
What a little gem of a place. Lovely gardens and play area with a brilliant selection of plants and gifts. And the cafe was brilliant, amazing food and value!! Thoroughly recommend..will be returning
We had a lovely lunch, we brought six dogs, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Outside space in the gardens was delightful. Lovely food and very nice fresh coffee. Cheese ploughman’s was one of the best I’ve ever had.
Beautiful gardens, relaxing, quiet setting. Lovely coffee shop with delicious food and friendly staff. Nice play area for children too. Would highly recommend it.
A return visit today, this time with my elderly Dad, for lunch. The service was fantastic, so friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. We all had a very different meal choice, Dad had pork chop with fresh veg, hubby had a full English breakfast, and I had home made quiche, salad and chips. Literally could fault nothing! Roll on the next visit!
One of the best roast dinners I have had !!! The potatoes were super crispy, the veg was beautiful and the meat was not only tasty but plentiful we will definitely be back! And the staff were friendly and helpful!
Quick visit after long walk with the dog today staff lovely and friendly it was very busy and the staff was rushed of their feet but food was amazing and so was the atmosphere 10/10x
What a beautiful place. The whole family had a wonderful day in peace and tranquil surroundings. Due to the heat we were glad for the shaded trees and parasols. The children dipped toes in the stream by the play area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the man in the ice cream and gift shop, he was working hard in the sun looking after the plants for sale and was patient while the children chose their lollies. We can't wait to have another day out. Thank you
Lived in Bournemouth for years and didn't know this place was here. A real hidden gem.
Just returned from a lovely few hours at the gardens. Top guy Steve looking after the animals, very good with kids. My son has just had the best time, feeding and holding the animals. Thank you!
We visited for the first time today and had a wonderful visit. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, food was fresh and delicious. Our toddler had a great time looking at the animals and playing on the climbing frame. I can’t wait to visit again once the weather has improved.
This hidden gem is well worth the visit , I have been twice and enjoyed it immensely . The cafes are excellent and the gardens gorgeous .
Went today had a meal fish n chips best we had for a long time good service.
The dovecote café is one of the best places i have been to in a long time.
Home made food and the portions are big and the staff are friendly.
So if you are hungry go get some food then you can walk it off round the garden...
A charming café set inside a garden center, had a full English breakfast which was delicious, the tomatoes and mushrooms were fresh and I recommend adding the black pudding for £1.
Staff were kind and helpful, they employ community members with disabilities which is wonderful to see.
Highly recommended.
Lovely country cafe surrounded by their large gardens. Good wholesome food with seating inside and out. Run by a charity supporting employment training for those with special needs. It's such a great cause.
Such a lovely place for lunch. The food is made with love and care. We sometimes come for tea/coffee and fabulous home made cakes.
We had cake and it was lush!!! All of our varied dietary requirements were met. Lovely afternoon tea.
Great concept, really beautiful gardens. Covid safe. Ordered an egg bap and it was delicious! Coffee tasted burnt but all in all, lovely stop off for breakfast.
Went during lockdown-easing. Free car park, lovely gardens, loads of seating and toilets. All the correct measures in place. Food and drink are as nice as always.
Visited end of January 2022. Really good service, much needed cuppa - where a pot of tea means at least two cups! plenty of room, both inside and in the spacious and beautiful garden, which I look forward to revisiting in spring when it’ll
